Euphoria is a major hit that's a teen drama. So what does that tell you, that today's teens go more a edgy route over into wholesome romance. They are too cool to get off on these teen drama mega romances.

Riverdale is probably one of the closest. The mystery element gives it a subgenre that shows like Dawsons or One Tree Hill don't, but overall it goes all in on its big relationships, and is an old school stacking in terms of cast attractiveness.

I think in general romance has gotten a little less popular, you can see it in less love songs. Listen to Stay by Lisa Loeb and Stay by Kid Lorai feat Bieber and you can see how the sentimentality has been stripped out of pop music in 25 years. There is also obviously less romcoms.

Netflix owns the teen demo these days so it's difficult for one of the (imo) higher quality networks to really hit one a successful teen show. The more successful strategy for the other streams is to hit Netflix where they're weakest which is middle aged males. You're better off trying to make a Jack Ryan than a teen drama because right now teens have no interest in giving up their loyalty to Netflix.

Damn what a different response it’s gotten after coming out. On Reddit it was almost “cool” to shit on it and do the whole “why, no one’s asking for this” or “just watch one of the films” probably a big contribution to why it wasn’t watched by many.

I hate the intro music for Peep Show, despite it being my favourite comedy ever. Though it is the exact sort of shit they would like.

i really like the show, but if you want 'clever' or twists this isn't really the show for you. i know they show the murder at the beginning so it's not really much of a mystery but even the way she solves stuff usually involves a ton of luck and a ton of coincidences. once you realise it's that kind of show it's a fun ride, but if you are expecting holmes like observation and deduction skills, this show is not for you.

While I liked From as a show and I didn’t hate the intro, I usually skipped it because it felt too long and it looked really generic. Nice song though.

Oh! Thanks for the reminder that it dropped! Love Natasha and honestly, I enjoy Peacock. I'm a Bravo watcher (love Below Deck) and love that I can watch on there and not worry about recording. The Peacock Exclusive Below Deck Down Under was so good, they put it on the network later.

You all should be binge watching The Traitor as well! Delicious show! Interesting mix of people... some "contest reality" with Survivor, Big Brother, etc alums; then Bravolebrities (Below Deck, Housewives, Shahs); an Olympic athlete (they almost have be liking Ryan Lochte), and then average never been on TV people!

Plus Alan Cumming. It is why I couldn't resist.

Let the mystery be. We don’t get the logistics of how it works but it was absolutely real. Maybe you’re having a different conversation here. My point is that whatever happened isn’t some figment or dream where “it was all in is head” or doesn’t have some tangibility. When he died he was very much transported somewhere and this same place is where the guy who says he’s god was also transported and there’s actually other characters that mention the place. Who knows what it truly is but it very much is real.

Oh no. As a big fan of the story of The Last of Us - Part 1, the video game itself, I hope the series is nothing like Station Eleven. Station Eleven was one of the worst TV shows I have ever watched. There was someone else I read that described it as something to the effect of "what an average M.A. in Theater student thinks a global apocalypse would be like." Absolutely on point. Extremely pretentious and boring show.

M jak miłość is a Polish soap opera, and their intro looks like a commercial for white supremacy and... butter? yoghurt? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9NVZcpLjJY

and I'm okay with the "Dawson's Creek" intro, but didn't find it groundbreaking. the intro of a Turkish show inspired by DC has an opening that looks like "We will do the same, but slower, more generic and more boring". it's not the worst intro ever, but I'm puzzled how they can copy the already quite boring DC one and just make it... even more boring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcyXBf9u9RU
