I liked the episode and definitely wiped away tears but I sooort of get the point he’s making. While the relationship elements themselves were great, the worldbuilding was limited and was a bit too sweet for the Last of Us world.

I would have liked to see (a) about 10% more tie to Joel and Ellie’s story, the segue from the dead woman to Bill’s entire story was a bit abrupt and Joel could have had more than one appearance in Bill’s backstory.

And (b) been a bit more realistic about the whole peaceful white picket fence life. Found it hard to buy that they could live so out in the open like that once raiders knew where they lived. They could be easily be picked off while outside by a sniper - they’d have to be careful. Showing them continue to love each other as they grew older under these trying circumstances would have been a plus.

It felt very Station Eleven and this isn’t a Station Eleven post apocalypse world. Yes, there is light, but you have to look for it in the darkness.

Yeah agreed S1 was very meh to me, I stuck it out bc it was released during pandemic and I had nothing but time.

S2 got no promotion but I wanted to follow up, overall it got way better (minus the lack of continuity from finale for a hot minute.)

Better action sequences, pacing, storylines - very enjoyable (and binge-able) watch

I def think it deserves another season after S2.

Well Tuca & Bertie was a fantastic cartoon that continued and evolved what Hanawalt did with Bojack Horsman and her works in other mediums. So its quality as a cartoon for sure wasn't the reason for the cancelation. I'm not saying that misogyny is the reason either. But I can see how women that make quality products in a pretty much male dominated industry and still get their shows canceled will look for answers in the social status-quo

Meh..not excited by any of these announcements and pretty disappointed that Peacemaker series two is indefinitely delayed due to Gunn working on the Superman movie and the general DC rebuild.

Also not keen on the news they are only aiming for 2 DC TV shows per year. DC Universe used to manage more than that volume on their own! If HBO Max cannot afford to produce the DC shows then I’m sure Apple, Amazon, or Netflix would love to fund and air them!

I think it's a good episode. A little ham fisted, but well made. I wanted them to make Bill a little less "Ron Swanson" lovable, and more cynical in outlook, so the love story would be even more special. But in general, a very good episode that explores something tender and beautiful in a Zombie genre. Very unprecedented.
