I'm gen X and was a young teen when it came on and I only watched it because of everyone except the judge , Harry Anderson. It was the only show in it's time slot worth watching. If there was something better on I would have watched that.

lol the original is pre-Gen X, isn't it? Kind of weird to do a continuation of a series from nearly 40 years ago. Surely the target audience is boomers who still watch live TV.

The ironic thing is that probably the biggest threat of Russian meddling in America was totally ignored during the 90s. Not communism but crime/corruption. But I guess corruption and capitalism are comfortable bedfellows so it wasn't a big deal.

NBC really only does Notre Dame football and most of the college football season is over before the NBA even starts and certainly over by the time people start caring about watching NBA basketball.

There were only 6 Saturdays between the start of the 2022-23 NBA season and the end of the CFB regular season, so I don’t see that as an impediment (also ABC/ESPN currently has this problem and they seem to be managing it fine).

Depends what packages are offered. Especially if NBC is still doing CFB, saturdays get weird for half the year. Its not bad, but a few weekend games is a pretty awkward package compared to RSNs and TNT

Not a fan of the book, it's extremely pessimistic. The "solution" to the problem in the first book is kind of comical. It's made out to be some incredibly difficult problem that an interstellar civilization couldn't figure out, but then, it's just answered pretty plainly.
