It is. Also Brian Robbins (the bad boy) became the head of Paramount/Nickelodeon. Kind of weird.

The French dispatch had no chance of ever being nominated for anything. Delusional.

I still can’t get over how good Andor was. After feelings of disgust after Rise of Skywalker and personally not enjoying Mandalorian, I was full on done w Star Wars. Had no intention of watching any of it. But the Reddit was enthusiasm was hard to avoid and I felt I had to at least try. Such a good show. Not just a good Star Wars show. Just a flat out good to show. No force. No Jedi. No sith. No lightsabers. Best star wars content since rogue one. Miraculous.

The eligibility period isn’t even over. Entire shows will come and go before the eligibility period will end lol.

how high do they think their Disney Plus output is for Star Wars & Marvel? For each it's like 2 or 3 high profile 10 episode shows a year tops. That's it. Why would i sub to D+ if it's 1 show a year or a 4 episode series?
guark t1_j8z379u wrote
I agree Paramount+ can be extremely annoying. It's a shame it has all my favorite reality shows on it.
Right now I can't even watch anything because it constantly gives me error 111, and everything I have done to try and fix it hasn't worked.

Damn right. I would totally love to this. The Muppets have tackled other genres before - why not this one!

Somehow Maul returned. Lucas did it first.

Definitely not. I do think it would be nice to see Jenna Ortega nominated though, she nailed it. But the show as whole? No way, very CW

Ortega basically has one face for the entire show. I get that’s her character but I don’t see why she should even be nominated other than for how popular the show was.

West Side Story is honestly one of Spielberg's best movies. I'd probably have it in his top 10. The problem is that nobody saw it in theatres because of covid.

I could maybe see Ortega taking lead actor in a comedy but I think it's still a long shot.

Which is a shame because I feel like the real issue with Andor was that it came out after so many previous flops that no one gave it a chance. It’s the previous show’s poor quality that hurt Andor the most.

Ted Lasso is a gem. One of my favorite shows in years. Very easy to get into. Severance is a little more challenging to get into, but if you stick w it, absolutely phenomenal.

Reply to Paramount+ is the worst streaming UI in existence by EchosEchosEchosEchos
I am a huge Star Trek nerd and Paramount+ should be an easy sell for someone like me. Old episodes from TNG and DS9 were my most watched on Netflix. Wonderful background noise for me while I do other things.
Commercials. Everywhere. Even on the supposed premium ad-free plan.
Nothing more infuriating than watching a 30 year old show with god damn commercial breaks that feature everything you hated about Network TV.
Shows audio balance forces you to turn the volume up. Commercial break plays and they are unbelievably loud. So now I have to be on top of when the commercial break is going to hit so my speaker doesn't pop and I don't wake up the neighbors and my girlfriend.
If you pause during the commercial because you are about to go deaf and can't see straight anymore because the general wants to sell my car insurance, it fucks up most of the time and I have to restart the whole fuckin show, fast forward, and sit through that commercial shit again.
You pause the fuckin show to read something on screen. THEY OVERLAY ANOTHER AD.
This is the only service I don't use out of principle. I was one of the people defending Picard online for the last two seasons. Watched each episode on premiere night. Not signing up for Season 3 and it has nothing to do with their content, everything to do with the fact that I feel like I'm being bent over and told to fuck myself in every way they could find because they think their customers are just here to be fucked and won't go anywhere.
