Seems like OP is just talking numbers. Way too early to talk about quality being one of the greats. And since the story seems to be a scene for scene version of the game the surprise element of wowing will be a hurdle to overcome.

As someone who’s not really a gamer and know nothing about the story, I’ve been completely captivated so far! The big mushroom monster in the latest episode is the only time I felt, ok that’s a bit hokey feeling like a video game boss.

there was a time where i believe there could've been a future where that might've been possible

wrestling was ABSURDLY big in the attitude area, like people in different countries and friends would talk about shit, it was starting to get eveyrwhere on a crazy level

i don't know if the pg13 era or whatever fucked it up or just the writers got bad but i feel like a lot of people who knew wrestling back then can probably attest it was insanely popular

It's kind of the nature of film. A real film camera, and indeed real life, blurs the background optically by nature . Nature .

In your meat suit, you can only notice the blur. If you make yourself aware of your peripheral vision. You've actually tried to look at the blur. Your eyes refocus .

But in the movies you can look at the blur, and once you become aware of it it can become a compelling thought.

3d movies have the exact opposite problem. They provide different depths but everything is in focus at the same time. It ends up making everything look like it's being acted out by cardboard cutouts at different distances.

There is no correct third option. If everything is in focus, everything looks flat.

The real problem you've got is that you're used to video games where everything is in focus at every depth, but it's being seen on a true 2D surface.

If you look at a lot of games and monitors that don't have proper depth blur, and like no first person shooters or whatever know where you're going to look so they have to keep everything in focus, then real life gets tricky .

Hold your phone comfortably up in front of your face with the wall in the distance. Stare at the phone and pay attention to what's just past the side of the phone and you'll discover that that annoying blur is what the rest of us called life.

It is a terrible thing to suddenly notice life.

That is always gift, many studios finally get this about letting shows have an ending and/or doing each season as chapter with beginning middle and end. In case they don't get picked up, more people would be willing to invest into new shows if they knew they were likely to get killed off and the story left with major hanging plot questions.

Well, not much changed.
Cara Delevingne still can't act and Orlando Bloom and her still have absolutely no chemistry whatsoever.

It's a mind boggling casting choice, as Bloom himself isn't the greatest actor and certainly doesn't have enough acting chops to carry Delevigne. Pairing them up was such a terrible choice. Maybe it was the same casting director that thought Cara Delevigne and Dane Dehaan would make a great screen couple?

They should have given Delevigne's role to the actress that plays her friend from the brothel because that one can actually act and convey emotions on screen.

The writing isn't much better.

The only somewhat interesting plot line is the one with the rich Faun dude and the snob Lady, but it's written and acted so badly that calling it interesting is already a stretch.

it had an interesting premise, very good cast but lacked in writing. Especially the later episodes had so much themes they wanted to explore, but barely anything worked anymore. Too bad, I had so much hope when I started to watch it.

But I will definitely look into the second season.
