This is one those sounds good on paper but not that great in real life idea. You try it one or two times then the novelty quickly wears off.

It's also a way for them to launder their reputation in the rest of the world. It's why you see so many Saudi and Russian billionaires buying teams or funding leagues overseas overseas.

They weren’t using it. Hence why they discontinued it. There’s a whole article explaining this which you can read.

I'm not familiar with the videogame so maybe I'm off but Breaking bad and GOT were both 60+ episodes, can they really squeeze that much juice out of this story? cuz that feels unlikely

They don't buy anything for bragging rights. This is all about diversifying the kingdom's revenue, so that in 100 years they aren't left broke.
They're basically acquiring anything that has longterm value.

They’re promoting their service/brand to fans more than trying to gain new people.

And its 18.february now, should tell you enough about how many people used it.
I didnt even know a option like that existed.

It routinely froze up and for some reason kept playing Star Trek stuff lol.

Or it would have been canceled after one season.

I think a lot of comments in here are wrong. It IS a masterpiece so far and is on track to being in the same league as GoT or BB. The difference though is that the story is somewhat limited by the game series and so it will never have the complicated and immersive story that BB and the GoT had (not including TWD cause it's a trash show). The story is great for what it is and a masterpiece in its own right but comparing it to BB or GoT is just an apples and oranges comparison

Hardy said he does want to do a second season, but it will be treated like an anthology series and the story would pick up with a descendent of his character in the first season.

No idea why you’re being downvoted although I bet every single person who did has no idea who he is except he’s on Fox, thereby betraying their own close-minded view of the world. The dude is hilarious and never takes himself or anything else so seriously.

All it did was pick one of the most recent 5-6 Netflix originals. It was not useful or particularly surprising.

YouTube is getting worse and worse! I too get either “you watched one video with keyword x, now half your feed is that” or “you watched this 1-2h video once, why don’t you want to watch it again?”.
It used to be actually good:(

It’s pretty normal to send a quick press release or an email to customers when you add or remove features. Especially if they intend for them to get used. They won’t launch a marketing campaign or ad spending, but their communications team largely will get in front of things.
