BB and Sopranos are god tier TV shows that ended well, had fantastic writing and didn't overstay their welcome. I can count on one hand how many shows actually fit that description. Thats the difference.

Both Dexter and Lost ended badly, had shitty writing and didn't end well.

Is "Wokeism" responsible for Tories threatening the BBC over a presenter's tweets about their policies? Did it lead to the crashes on Top Gear? To the consideration to stop funding the choir? Is it through wokeism that the new chairman of the BBC was appointed, or was it because he's a banker with connections to the Conservative party and Boris Johnson, personally?

Did you even read the article?

true. i generally don't watch this kind of stuff anyway. honestly, i haven't even watched a good sitcom or comedy show in forever. that genre just isn't made for me.

this seems like a comedy/drama aimed at older people (i mean people in their 40s or so), which is why it is paced as such. tbh i am only watching for bob odenkirk.

Yeah I thought it was such a clever reinvention of the show. You read the wiki page and it’s pretty decent reviews across the board then I got to the part that reminded me it got Karen’d out of existence:(

“The group One Million Moms, an offshoot of the American Family Association, began protesting The Muppets, citing it as "unsuitable for family viewing", and calling for boycotts against it immediately after ABC picked it up, long before the series debuted.[63][64][65] The Muppets later parodied One Million Moms' critique in their twelfth episode, "A Tail of Two Piggies", as the One Million Angry Parents Association represented by three protesters.[66][third-party source needed]

The Parents Television Council also criticized the series for not meeting "family viewing" guidelines and suggested a boycott, based on the mockumentary format of the series including mentions of plastic surgery, "inside" business language being used in a crude manner, and the Muppets in a bar consuming alcoholic beverages.[67]

This was the case when I worked the cable company 6-8 years ago. Our customers didn't care about HBO (I have literally never met anyone in Alabama who watched GoT other than me) and liked Showtime occasionally, but Starz was very, very popular because of Power. We got tons and tons of Starz merch. I've still got a bunch of that crap in my car.
