The first few seasons are great IMO. But then it gets old when you realize every scene is just someone walking into an office, saying the most dramatic thing possible, then walking out in a huff.

It's honestly part of the problem with the shows in the first place. Cliffhangers are writing tactic that help to retain viewership between episodes and between seasons. The network usually demands them but they'll just hurt the show in the long run as each episode and season doesn't have enough payoff and the show winds up feeling horribly paced and unfulfilling.

Sometimes a show just doesn't have enough content to offer and being forced into the pacing of the weekly cliffhanger schedule kills them and any chance the story had at being fulfilling.

It was okay. Nothing really memorable, but I managed to get through all 9 seasons so I guess that counts. I found Donna very annoying. Show lost its charm quite a bit when Jessica and the rest started leaving.

Nah.

The Sopranos, The Wire, Band of Brothers, Chernobyl, Breaking Bad, Dead Wood, Mad Men, Game of Thrones and The Leftovers are all considerably better I would say.

Then again I wouldn't put BCS amongst the mount rushmore (especially after S6) and many on this sub would.

Lily Savage's run on Blankety Blank remains the most exciting TV show in modern history.

He hasn't had an easy time as of late, though. He was shafted of his BBC Radio 2 show, for instance (he didn't want to share a time slot with, I think, Rob Beckett?)
