Yes, but it’s not similar to The Shield in any kind of way (writing, camera work etc). Decent show, but not amazing. Some clever writing, some pretty standard espionage-thriller stuff.

Well, that was 3 hours well spent reminiscing on the fabulous Lilly Savage

Enjoyed the first episode. Chris O'Dowd plays the everyman very well. The premise is quite thought provoking. I'm wondering how much this show is going to lean into the potential mystery sci/fi aspect, or if it's mostly just going to be comedy focused on the characters. Hoping for a nice balance between the two.

What the hell is the point in hanging out on a television subreddit if you're just going to baselessly assume everything being posted is coming from bots and shills? It was the most watched series of the last week, yeah, people are talking about it. Big deal.

I saw a ton of ads for The Night Agent and nothing for Shadow and Bone.

It made me feel super old when someone else pointed out that Gabriel Brasso was the dorky kid from Super 8.

I feel like this is just par for the course for all these types of shows. Outside of maybe The Bureau or something like that, these all require the audience to just kinda go with it. Which is totally fine, imo, you can't have action packed shows like these that are super realistic because, frankly, that's just now how things work.
Like the fact that Peter is at the center of this thing throughout the entire series. Granted, the show does a decent enough job of keeping it tied to him so it at least feels reasonable (without giving spoilers, this is revealed in the final episode).
It's easy, popcorn entertainment and it does it well enough.

Jeez I completely forgot, and I loved Better Caul Saul. Yes he's absolutely up there. The last episode even highlights how legendary of a liar he is.

I can't help but compare the public attitude to Paul O'Grady in the UK, and how he would be regarded in the USA. Here, he's regarded as a very funny man with a mischievous way of talking - a star and a hero - but in the US he'd probably get arrested as someone who would corrupt public morals.

Eh, I really liked The Night Agent. Disliked The Recruit a lot. Personally, The Recruit was everything I was getting tired of with spy shows. I didn't like the humor and the overly poppy soundtrack and pacing. It just felt too much like a CBS procedural, imo.

Apple tv is a bargain because you can watch all their awesome shows in less than a month and pay only $6 for it. You could cancel any 1 of your other memberships for a month and end up saving money.
But you sound stubborn af so you probably won't lol

Enjoyable enough show when you turn your brain off. But man, the writing and dialogue was really subpar.

Netflix is pretty much the only service actually making money for now.
No reason to think they will die.

Unexpectedly could mean anything from a heart attack to a stroke. Best thing that can happen to all of us is an instant, painless death after living a good life. Still, 67 feels young these days.

A gay bar he was working at was raided in the 80s at the height of the AIDS crisis. He was on stage when police wearing rubber gloves stormed the building. Without skipping a beat, he says "oh great, we've got some help with the washing up!".

(S&B) I enjoyed the first season but the second season just seemed so. Implausible? All of it. I want to support it, but it's hard to get into.
