People want a Next Next Generation, the lack of it is what a lot of fans have been complaining about since the Disco launch

Honestly there should be more DC Adult Swim shows.

Yes, I was very surprised they cast her for that role, she fucking nailed Dina on 'Superstore' so it's been hard to accept her in this.

My gf and I have been enjoying it. I personally like time travel stuff and didn't watch the original, so I have nothing to compare it to.

It says Apple realises the only show folks watch on the platform is Ted Lasso so they are trying to replicate that with the other shows.

I made it to episode 8.
After that, I kinda fell off over the winter hiatus. I let the episodes pile up for a while until I realized I just had no drive and got rid of them.

He was absolutely incredible-someone shared this clip of him from his show and he's just so fucking funny. He always stuck with his roots no matter how big he got on TV and before this, he used to do drag as Lily Savage and that was just as funny, if not funnier.
He's gonna be sorely missed by many of us here in the UK.

Yeah... Drag as a whole is a huge part of our culture though because the UK loves pantomime shows too where drag is a major part of it so that's probably a big part of why we're more accepting of drag queens. Drag queens are harmless and Paul O'Grady's Lily Savage is a perfect example. Lily Savage is a classic drag queen and was absolutely hilarious to watch hosting Blankity Blank.

I think it'll depend on whether this final season ties everything together well. The show's already a bit disjointed.

The end of S2 was filmed long before those episodes aired and SNW was greenlit. Maybe they thought they had something special with the Pike crew but I think it was more to just get out of that era after a lot of the criticism from S1 and do something different. Bear in mind they had changed showrunners like twice by that point too. It was a soft reboot.

> Have a show with a mix of new and old characters.
That's exactly what Terry Matalas has been pushing. The Titan crew we're already starting to know with older characters popping up, maybe dealing with the politics of the alpha quadrant after all of this. Old characters can pop up as needed and they can go on their own new adventures too. Go to Bajor to deal with a trade dispute and Garak and Kira are there. Get orders from Admiral Janeway one episode. Have Geordi talk to his daughter sometimes. But not every week.
Please don't make Jack the captain, though? We already did the "plucky young ahole somehow becomes the captain over everyone more experienced than him" thing in ST09 and it made sense there, we don't need it here. I like Shaw as the stubborn damaged captain who's hands off, stays in his ready room or quarters when not needed so Commander Seven has most of the responsibility. Jack can be chief medical officer I guess. The other Laforge daughter can be in engineering.

Lol, this is damning with faint praise. The ratings are nothing to write home about.

CartoonNetwork is realizing a lot of their shows might not survive if the content is aimed at an older audience.
Between this & Genndy's new show, [adult swim] is becoming the home of shows that don't fit that Teen Titans Go! vibe.

When I saw the title of the thread, I also thought, it's fine. The leap stuff is leapy. The non leap stuff is kind of lame.

I watched this without knowing the hook of the show & was still really enjoying it. Only minor quibble is Lauren Ash feels slightly miscast but I think it will be okay the longer it runs.

It's hard to call any show a clear top 4 show. I will say, there are very few shows where I was this excited to watch a new episode every week.
The Wire, Breaking Bad, Band of Brothers are probably the fixtures on my top 4 list and there are a whole bunch that could be #4, and Succession is definitely one of them.
