I recommend everyone to watch this half an hour long YouTube dissertation of the show by Skip Intro, who claims that it's pure and unadultered copaganda and the worst cop show on TV overall. It's pretty interesting, much more than the show itself lol.

I think their opinions are overrepresented. Because "I can take a joke and offensive humor doesn't bother me" isn't worth making posts about so companies don't see it as much even though it's how most people feel.

She's still visited by at least one dead person in every episode but they're just a device for her to realize something and/or fix some aspect of her life. Sometimes she also helps the ghost get some closure, although the way the gimmick works she can just ignore them altogether. Given that the main character only has that much growth to achieve it's inevitable that the secondary ones will get progressively more screentime. All in all it's a pretty mild sitcom but I personally liked it better than most of the new crop of comedies.

I wish one of these old action stars would turn out to be liberal, break the mold.

It truly was incredible how they took this incredibly likable and sympathetic protagonist and turned her into the worst character in the show by the end. And not in an engaging or interesting way. Man.

Man I was Angel recently and hearing Charisma Carpenters character call her friend a "lesbo" was a wake up call.

Monica's backstory as a fat girl and Chandler's relationship with his transgender parent would be hard to do humorously now. Other than that I agree, the other possibly offensive plots are mostly b-plots or one off jokes that could be excluded.
