I feel like this has Dan Trachtenberg written all over it but we'll see

I really enjoyed Dawson's Creek. I like small town shows that follow characters into adulthood even in the case of Dawson's Creek it went a bit of the rails at the end.

Even though it didn’t really have a proper ending, I think it’s definitely worth a watch.

I've been asking that question about Mandalore and their culture for like a decade now.
Especially where we are now. I don't understand why we should care about Mandalorians re-uniting to take back their broken, deserted homeworld.

Depending on your taste you might want to check out the German original.

I've been banging that drum since Season 1.

I love this show so much and only know one other person who has watched it. He is also the person that hiped me to it. Michael Chernus is fantastic.

Lmao it’s hilarious that this person basically said exactly what I said in my OP but in different words, then I say I agree, and I get downvoted but they don’t. OP backlash is such a weird phenomenon.

Well obviously the obvious answers are the sopranos, the wire, mad Men, oz, The shield breaking bad.... I assume most people have at least heard of these shows and recognize them as being pretty well received.
But I also have a soft spot for Beverly hills 90210, and Dawson's Creek as a guilty pleasure. Dawson's Creek was an interesting slice of the late '90s because the teens weren't obsessed with popularity like they were in shows like One tree Hill. They were sort of a group of people like the class clown and a film nerd and a poor Joey Potter whose father was in jail and whose mother died.
They sort of snubbed their nose at cheerleading and school sports etc ... And that was sort of what life was like in the late '90s. I don't know if it was the aftermath of Nirvana or whatever, but people sort of snubbed traditional notions of popularity in high school.
Buffy is a pretty good show. It was sort of a time period before all of the shows had been part of the so-called Golden age so there was often a lot more episodes. That meant more filler but also a ton of content.
That could be good or bad.

I didn't know that jedi was played by Ahmed Best. I assumed it was some fan who won a contest to be in an episode because the acting was so fucking poor and the shots were composed like an SNL sketch.

I enjoy each episode but the story overall is disjointed. It appears that it’s all starting to come together though.

I remember hearing a while back that there was going to be a follow-up podcast where the clones were discovered when one applied for the CIA or something like that? Maybe they turned it into a series

They're also basically picking up the storylines that would've gone to "Rangers of the New Republic"... but that series got cancelled after Cara Dune decided to be a dumbass
Delicious-Tachyons t1_jec4v6l wrote
It's so rudderless.
When one of the showrunners said there's no plan for it i knew it would just going to meander.
It's so directionless that when Bo-Katan shows up at Mando-Land or whatever they called their hideout she automatically took control and noone complained. it was fucking bizarre.
Couple that with Pedro not being there on set at all (he's a voice in a helmet worn by another actor) and it's just a fricken cartoon. I mean it always was kind of just a cartoon in 'live action' but it's worse without any overarching plot.

I mean lion king is a rip off of Hamlet. And you can't rip off yourself. The prequel had to meet a point so some of the tones have to be similar but to say that compared to the Disney stuff minus the under cover boss spoof has been really broad and boring. Lucas was making choices and Disney is having focus groups.

I adored OB and I love Ritter so I'll give this a shot.
I'm intrigued by the time jump. I'm hoping we get a truly new story and not a rehash of the original.

> Everything is shot in a compact environment, surrounded by digital screens, there's no depth to any of the environments.
That new “volume” tech is making everything look like cheap trash; the art direction around the orb is abysmal and obvious in every set design
Not just a Star Wars problem, but it’s the most obvious in Disney stuff
