Reply to comment by jez124 in ‘Star Wars’ Series ‘Skeleton Crew’ Enlists Director David Lowery - The series wrapped production in recent months, however news of who directed is just now coming out, with more expected to be revealed later by Neo2199
Plenty of good directors work for Disney stuff be it Marvel or Star Wars, it's not new to this show. But they are muted and have no voice or style when they do.

Obviously not as TV-MA though, since it's TV 14.

If Heroes could have been left alone and bottled up after season one, we might have got an inspired revival by now.

She's extremely funny in the short-lived Don't Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23, so I think she has a bit more range than just Jessica Jones.

I can't tell if this is supposed to be satirical or not. This is satire right?

Doesn’t get talked about enough and still holds up incredibly well

I think it could work now, but as a single camera show without a laugh track and with shorter seasons. Derry Girls would be a good inspiration.

We need more new shows with witty butlers

Santa Clarita Diet but I would want to be in with Sheila and Joel so I wouldn’t get eaten.

Also... the music selection on this show is just terrible. Every song is so familiar and one-the-nose to whatever situation is happening on screen... it's just corny really. In the age of streaming we have such a wide range of music at our fingertips, so why does it still feel like the industry only have like one folder of music they use in almost everything!?
other 'rewatch sessions' posts:
Teen dramas I think are much better than Sex Education:
- Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo (Amazon) - 9.0
- Looking For Alaska (Hulu) - 9.0
- Delete Me (Viaplay) - 9.2
- Euphoria (HBO) - 9.8
- We Are Who We Are (HBO/Sky Atlantic) - 9.2
Other shows I didn't really like:
- Normal People (BBC Three) - 6.7
- Tiny Pretty Things (Netflix) - 4.3
- Tell Me You Love Me (HBO) - 7.2
- Baby (Netflix) - 5.5
Shows I gave "10 out of 10":
- Desenfrenadas (Netflix) - 10
- Les Revenants (Canal+) - 9.5
- Sonny Boy (Tokyo MX) - 10

Recently rewatched it start to end and couldn’t agree more! The show and Fran are at their peak in the “will they, won’t they” seasons 1-4.

Fran Drescher was an absolute knock out when she was on that show. She was sexy, funny, silly and sassy. I loved seeing her strut around in all her glamorous dresses, high heels and little skirts. Such a gorgeous lady. The Nanny was one of the many shows that helped me figure out at a young age that I’m very attracted to women.

I'm curious about the story line now. I can't imagine going with Ritter they'll do a clone club again. Tatiana Maslany has amazing range and made me believe each of the clones was a different actor. Krysten Ritter, a fantastic actor, does not seem to have much range beyond being pissed off and angry. Granted she's amazing at being a pissed off angry character but a bunch of slighly differently dressed up Ritters being pissed off isn't going to be great television.

> but it was worth watching for Tatiana Maslany
I adore her. I loved She Hulk because of her. I was excited when I realized the religious person in Perry Mason season 1 was her.
It's like energy emanates off her or something. I can't explain it. But I have yet to be disappointed by her performances even if the show itself is meh.

I don't think I'd call it a trope. That's how life is. You meet people through others.

My mom is from Flushing and the show made her irrationally angry as neither she nor anyone she grew up with sounds like that.

I think it's over done to the point where the audience sees it coming a mile away. Often times, I feel tv shows drag the "will they/won't they" plot for too long.
