So on my first day, i was 10 dollars short and manager/s told me that it happens and to not worry about it.
On my second day, manager helped me count and it was right.
On my third day, i was 10 dollars short again. And again, manager told me it's fine.
Today i was working extra carefully. I didn't want to be accused of stealing since only time numbers matches was when i was counting in fromt of my manager. I was double checking almost everything and i felt pretty confident by the end of a day.... Yet, i got slapped with 88 dollars shortage. Manager didn't react badly, he was as confused. But now im scared that i will have problems since not only i lack a lot this time, but also because i messed up 3 times out of 4.
scared to go to work tomorrow. I have to wake up in 5 hours and have a 11 hour shift and afraid to lose my first ever job so soon. I bet im already suspected of stealing
TL:DR i was 10 dollars short on 2 previous days, on one of days everything was fine, but today im 88 dollars short and now im scared

i do count the money in register when my shift starts and finishes

yes, others also have access to register, but only when im eating or counting money at the end of my shift (for later, my coworkers only use cards)

i think some ppl missunderstand something. Im the one who counts total amount at the end of a shift and report to manager. Manager isn't the one who counts without me and tells me im short on X dollars

it's not impossible that someone is stealing, but i still doing my coworkers would steal. They rly don't seem like ppl who would steal from register
Oh, and to those who tell me that they would fire me or that i just don't know how to count, that's exactly why im in this sub right now and im indeed surprised that i im not fired yet.
Update: no one came to me to talk about money shortage, as if it never even happened. Im still a bit anxious but i hope i will get it right this time today (almost 5 more hours left till my shift ends)
