Totally not trying to create a religion war, but that this the case with a lot of religions. I see it with Hasidic Jews all the time. I think that something about religion in general tries to make its members as underdogs, persecuted victims that need to band together to protect their very core of their identity. Not saying persecution doesn’t exist, because Muslims and Jews and all religions have been persecuted throughout history. But this doesn’t mean that they are always persecuted and any act against an individual is an act against them all, and some people fail to understand that

I have a muslim friend in our friends circle. Everytime anything remotely related to hindu-muslim or even just muslims alone comes up he says out loud 'I apologise already!' He says this like a joke, but everyone knows what he means and why he feels like he needs to say that
