From what I read the bidet had a slider to adjust temp, they had just turned it all the way up as the old water heater apparently was not as effective at heating the water up as the new electric one they had installed. From the sound of it they didn't think to test the temperature of the bidet after installing the new water heater and as such left the setting on max resulting in a burned anus.

Why is your bidet hooked up to the hot water line? Toilet bowls are usually fed by the cold water line and retrofit bidets usually tap into that. If you have to dial down your hot water heater to not burn your ass, it may not be hot enough for other tasks like dishwashers and washing machines. Manual bidets are meant to be hooked up to your cold water not hot cuz of the burn risk.

Get yourself a bidet that has a built in tank and heating element. It will warm the cold water just enough to be comfortable plus that have a drying function to dry your rear after the wash cycle is done. Plus other features like a seat warmer, nightlight, self clean feature, misting, etc.

I've been through that feeling after two accidents and two write offs within a year of each other. But eventually I was able to drive again. Just give yourself some time, that's what I did.

Looked into the requirements but we don’t think we qualify. I make too much and she doesn’t work enough hours as “an abled body adult” on paper. We don’t know how to prove she is disabled…

Added this to the update. But she is likely not able to get it due to being one point shy from the diagnosis. Also a disability lawyer told us she is likely not able to get it due to being able to work “some” jobs. We should still apply, get denied, and appeal of course, it just got out on the back burner as other stuff came into focus and we felt it wasn’t likely to succeed. I’ll try to get back on top of that though as it couldn’t hurt to try.

Wow, it's 3.49€ for a big one in Germany. And just to clarify, with "big one", I mean half a litre. In stores, there are 1-2 litre bottles that are cheaper.

I have never visited anywhere that uses bidet, but this will serve as a useful warning if I ever do.

Dude . You are working three jobs to try and support your family . You are not a looser or a bad husband . Not sure what your skill set is or where you are but there are tons of jobs out there that need filling . Sounds to me like you need to find a better job and use any and all support you can get from the community and government

I wouldn’t call it equal, but it can be an addiction. Sometimes you just want something nice in your life when your life is shit. Nearly everyone’s got ar least one thing. Sometimes it’s a sweet treat, sometimes it’s soda, sometimes it’s alcohol, etc. some are better to have than others.

Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to get it back because you have no idea who might have took it. One possibility is if you have a picture, you can try putting up a huge poster and offer a reward.
