From my experience, we as men can only do so much in the early stages. The child is attached to their mom. Nothing we can do about it. My kid will sometimes refuse to let me in their room to play but will then insist on mom to come play instead. I have no control over that.. mainly because they're two and half years old.... You need to step back and really think about the situation I think. Maybe you'll see just how little choice we have in the early years

That would be so much fun if you had a trip sitter! But left alone? Oh my. My ex got away from my friend and I while we were all tripping one time, and we found him across the street on someone’s front porch. Thankfully before the era of ring doorbells, and in a vacation rental community that was mostly empty at the time. He was in his bathing suit, which, at first glance could’ve appeared to be boxer briefs. But yeah, that shit can make you do things. That is a huge dose that you took!

When I was in the AF, I had to be a part of the team that administered the "whiz-quiz". One guy that got hit with it had diarrhea so bad he couldn't piss! It was like any water drank was immediately diverted to his colon! He had to be there the whole day until one of the higher ups finally had him go to the hospital to get a blood draw done.

And another fun fact about it, when the admin types (called the orderly room in the AF) would call, the way you knew it was someone getting tagged was they wouldn't say why. Any other thing they would call about, it would be like so and so had to go over do/sign/whatever. When it was 'quiz' time, they would just say so and so needs to report...

As a single mom who worked night shift, when you have a kid you make it work. He SHOULD have went to sleep with you guys so on his days off he can help out instead of staying up late on the days he is off. I feel like you keep downplaying your VALID emotions and it seems as though you’ve been doing it for so long that you finally “exploded” today.

While embarrassing, you’re 30 years old - nobody really cares about that shit unless they’re super religious or 14 years old.

Of course, family will tease you until you die, but that’s because you’re taking it too seriously.

And - most importantly - you’ve got a great story to tell at parties. Seriously.
