Note that you can legally get free games, like on r/FreeGamesOnSteam that list such deals.
Some special cases to the rule also exists : Minecraft used to provide the old Classic for free in browsers, nowadays provides a time-limited demo, and Raspberry Pi OS still bundles a very, very old legal free copy of Minecraft with features to integrate the virtual world with IRL devices.

And sometimes you can pay for an illegal copy, like Uplink in 2000 : the publisher never paid the dev for the copies they sold, which means the people who paid for the game weren't more legal than the ones who pirated.

While I'm on it, devs prefer that you pirate games rather than using key resellers. It is a legally grey area, but those keys are often obtained with stolen details, or by scamming the devs out of press keys. Both cost money to the dev's customer support team, while pirating doesn't cost them a penny. It's technically a legal copy, but it's a very unethical way of getting cuts.

It happens. When my son was in high school he got lost on a 5k road race he was projected to to win (his HS team was running it as a warmup to the season) There was a D1 college runner that ran only the first 2 miles at a 4 1/2 minute mile pace. The golf cart leading the race stayed ahead of him. My son lost sight of them on some of the side street turns and ran 400 meters out of his way before people directed him back onto the course. He came in 6th. Others were happy to share similar stories with him when they found out.

You accidentally helped your coworkers from getting pay cuts at the start of a recession and possibly made some allies at work. Good for you! I hope you have the cajones to have their backs in the future. Who knows? Maybe they’ll be impressed with your problem solving skills and consider you for a promotion when the time comes😊

This is why I always mute myself and double check I am muted in stuff like this because I am not good at hiding expressions or thoughts on stuff I disagree with. when I have downtime at any office job I have had, I find myself digging in to the company information. I will look up executive pay, company sales information, metrics, etcetera. I find too often companies are hamstringing themselves and therefore their employees or I will find trends to either support what the company claims or disagree with it. Companies don't often realize it but a lot of their data is available to any employee who wants to go looking.

It is not the first time, nor will it be the last, that I hear/read from a situation like yours and that, to the venting party surprise, the powers actually care and listen.

Corporate environment seems to favor a very filtered discussion and viewpoint sharing. So it is funny when something like a hot mic lets things through unfiltered. But my favorite part is the unexpectedly kind of welcome reaction and in some instances even newly gained respect. There is something to be said for assertion at the appropriate times.

Learn and enjoy.

If some kind soul could explain to me, why is virginity such a relationship turner? Why would someone just 180 on someone if they were/weren’t a virgin? But let’s just say no lies we’re possibly included. Is it the whole experience thing? How’s someone supposed to get experience if either they’re with someone who is also brand new or someone which the wits just 180s and bails?
