I work at amazon (even started out doing the same thing op does), on the same shift, and the only thing I can think of that they’re either doing that shit barefoot or wearing cinderblocks for shoes.

I can stow at a similar rate, and I’ve never had my feet end up like that.

No, they can just close their blinds. Why lose your fun when you're doing nothing wrong? Not to mention, them closing the blinds makes it better as it removes the light.

Put your binoculars on Pleiades, your mind will be blown. Trivia note, that constellation is what the Subaru hood ornament is based on. Not sure if you know, but Google Sky Map is quite handy for identifying and even finding objects in the sky.

Uhhhhhh yeah, so if you're feeling high and haven't taken an opiate you're probably very sick. Get to the hospital. You may have an infection in your foot and now have sepsis.

Either contact the manufacturer about the defect and see if they would be willing to replace it, especially given the embarrassment, or chalk it up to a wash. If you need to dispose of it, you can carefully cut the silicon shell with a razor and peel it off. Since silicon is heat resistant, you can dip it in boiling water to sterilize it with no risk. Many places have silicon recycling stations, and cut up into manageable chunks, few people will guess what it was.

The battery can be pulled out and taken to a battery recycling station risk-free, since the same battery powers multiple items. If anything else, just say you found it and wanted to do the right thing with it. The circuitry can be dropped off at a lot of office supply stores in the tech disposal bin where they reclaim the metals and safely dispose of the board. And the motor can simply be pitched.

If you need a replacement and have a few coins to throw, look into the We-Vibe Nova 2 or Rave, or the Lelo Saroyo Wave. A touch pricey, but excellent replacements. After this event, I think you deserve the upgrades. Best of luck. If you need recommendations for a product, let me know (I work with a major sex toy manufacturer as a product tester as a sideline).

If that happens that's something the airline could have prevented by either not making it an extra option, or forcing the increased price to parents.

Advertising the low price, but expecting parents to ALWAYS pay extra "for the benefit of everybody else" is entirely the airline fault.

> It's not the airlines fault is my only point.

"I don't make the rules, ma'am. I just think them up and write them down."

Just tell your parents if they bought you a decent telescope you wouldn't look near as pervy to the neighbors who for some reason leave their blinds open facing a young child while having sex dressed up as weird animals.

Their point is that as long the kid is fine, it is NOT a problem for the parent, but for whoever ends next to the child if he misbehaves. The airline is saying "if you don't pay, we'll force you to put your misbehaving child somewhere we won't let you control him"... but "parent has to handle the child" is a benefit for everybody in the airplane which is NOT the child of the parent, so it's everything BUT a personal problem.

Basically if you pay the airline, you can still end next to the child of somebody who didn't pay extra. It's the "reverse protection" system that you can also see with Certificate Authorities : you pay to provide an advantage to another party, yet it is advertised as receiving said advantage. It only works if EVERYBODY pays extra, else nobody gets the benefit of having no misbehaving child.

idk if it’s just me but like, i wouldn’t care ab a partner going through my phone. i have nothing to hide, and if we are close like that, it shouldn’t matter. but everyone has different boundaries, including OP and her boyfriend, and he didn’t seem to mind that much either about the snooping itself and more about the fact that she found out ab something he didn’t want her to.

Not a TIFU at all. Your neighbors suffer from arrested development, and your parents' reaction wasn't particularly reasonable either. You're free to look at whatever you want with your binoculars and absolutely shouldn't take your neighbors complaints into consideration while watching the sky. Also, technically, (not that I recommend being a creepy asshole/paparazzo) as long as your neighbors do things in the open, or in front of windows, and you don't behave in a way that could be considered harassment or stalking, you're totally within your rights to just gawp at them all day long.
