Make sure to reach out to the bank to clarify what happened. What you got most likely was a temporary credit.

When you file a claim for fraud, there's an investigation and if it's determined you were the one who did the transaction, they will revert the temporary credit.

You may get lucky and the investigation may rule to your favour, but I wouldn't take my chances and spend the money refunded.

Different people react differently. I did the same thing this past Wednesday -- flu shot and 4th covid vaccine both in my (non-predominant) left arm. After effects were zero, not even a sore arm.

You didn't f/u ... you just didn't know how you would react. Although, going out and getting drunk that night was probably a poor decision.

God, that must have been bloody awful. I finally had Covid a month ago and felt fairly crap from it. Got over that and this week I've been hit with the flu for the first time in my life. Jesus Fucking Christ... I truly had no idea how hard the flu kicks you the balls. Floored for three days and I usually have the constitution of an ox.

Both at the same time with a hangover on top... Feel for you.

Nope, but is it more than $30? Because that's how much my bank charges for a Stop Payment on a check. I know some can be even higher. I doubt someone buying popcorn wants to pay the Stop Payment fee AND issue another check for the amount of the popcorn.

I actually didn't even know boy scouts sold popcorn. I've only ever seen girl scout's selling cookies.

I renovated my condo last year, nothing epic, paint and new shelves.

Somehow, I managed to lose my birth certificate and medical records during the process. I mean, I remember thinking "I need to put these in a good spot, so they don't get lost in teh shuffle".

Damned if I can remember where that good spot was.

Knew a guy in high school who did something like that. We sold chocolate covered almonds, 2 bucks a box.

Dude was... well, he was one of those people who is unpopular because he was dumb, obnoxious, untrustworthy, and super stinky.

He ate all his stock. Like, 150 dollars worth. And then just sorta hoped nobody would ever follow up to get the money, I guess.

Every Friday for months, teh student council president would show up at home room, ask for the money, and he give an excuse. By the end, he was crying every week, but that little blond cheerleader wasn't taking no for an answer.

I guess in the end, his parents paid it off.

Honestly, just ring up and say you found your card and you forgot the transaction and offer to pay it back. You're surely not the first person this has happened to. And it gives you the piece of mind they're not going to suddenly find out.

I once reported my card lost because I couldn't find my wallet. I was panicing about all the stuff I was going to have to replace. Turn up to work on monday and there it is on my desk.

The more astounding part was when it was someone who called their bank frequently (every contact made is logged). Like..... They call enough to know we are going to ask them for this information. It is not a trick or surprise question. And they still will react with surprise, confusion, hemming and hawing, sometimes (often) even annoyance, instead of any semblance of preparation.

It was one thing when it was an older customer - you could ease your rage with the thought that they just weren't 100% functioning. But anytime it was someone under 40 I wanted to induce an aneurysm in myself.
