Yeah, I used to live with my grandparents and had a room at their house. After I moved out, it became their room again. I recently moved back in with my grandmother because my grandfather passed away, and we still have our family reunions here, and I still wouldn't have sex here during one, especially with someone I haven't even introduced to my family as my bf/gf. Also on a separate note, a lot of people are using the wrong pronouns for OP's girlfriend. Just because a nonbinary person uses traditionally gendered terms (ie, boyfriend or girlfriend) doesn't mean you can use the wrong pronouns. The girlfriend uses they/them. Respect that.
