Colorblindness is that one strange dysfunction that it seems young children are quite proud to hold. I am colorblind, and as a kid I really, really enjoyed that fact. I even went so far as to exaggerate my colorblindness to make myself feel as exceptional and unique as possible. Now, in my adult years, I'm over feeling special about it and it's nothing but a hinderance in my life. I just wanna see purple, man.

It totally depends on who is doing it and who the woman getting it inserted is.

I’m one of the lucky ones. It was relatively easy for me, just mild discomfort.

But holy shit have I read some horror stories. Some sort of sedation/pain relief should be mandatory. You should have to opt out if you don’t want/need it.

I know I wasn't there, but just from quote...it sounds more like they were offended because they they were saying not to step on it out of respect and in their eyes you just pretty much went "Nah, it's fine to step on."

I mean I fully could be wrong, I don't know the entire conversation just your response, but that's just sorta how it reads.

You are not the asshole here. Instead of being defensive they could have engages in a discussion instead they did not and possibly assumed the worse about you. You are putting yourself out there and they did not reciprocate. You’re doing fine, just maybe stay away from snowflakes. Its not your fault they don’t know their Judeo-Christian religion as well as they carry themselves. You are practicing tolerance. They are not. Keep calm and carry on.

I live in SOCAL, unincorporated area, lots of houses but still not city, yet not quite country. I sat down in my chair one night on the back patio and after a minute or so realized that there was a snake underneath it. Since that night, I don’t cross the threshold of any exterior door without examining the area. I did not get bit. My animals alerted me to its presence and kept me safe.

This reminds me of college. One of my roommates was diabetic but still drank like a fish. Well one night he gets out of bed. I fel it as I'm on the top bunk. I then hear what I thought was running water. No he just pissed in the corner of our room and went back to bed. Then about 45 minutes later I feel the bed move again bit this time I jump down. He's going for the corner again but I turn him toward the bathroom. But our rooms door to the hallway was between the corner and the bathroom. He grabs the handle and I had a split second decision to risk him not making it but going to the bathroom or letting him be someone else's problem in the hallway. I opted for the bathroom. He peed somewhere in there but defiatelty not in the toilet.
