So the first house I rented in college, I was like 20 and it was the literal first night I had moved in. I invited some friends over to hookah and didn’t think anything of it. Set the hookah up on the table and we passed the hose around.

I got up to grab something or use the bathroom or whatever but I tried to step over the hose and misjudged how high up it was and ended up pulling the hookah off the table and that fucking coal of course landed on the carpet and burnt a hole in the floor that never got fixed until I moved out. Had to swallow my pride and let the landlord know the next day because I just felt so bad but it didn’t stop me from hookah-ing in the house, lol.

Lessons learned?

Wear glasses when you can't read road signs.

Smoking anything is bad for your health in many more ways than just lung-related.

Set up gps in offline mode ahead of time so you don't need cell service for it to be functional

There are still decent humans on the planet (that truck driver could have shot you and pressed charges, but he helped you instead)

Pizza place wouldn't fire you for this. Your job literally brings them an income.

Thanks for the great story!

I'm not sure if it's puppy love I've known her for a while and were planning onto going to college together and getting a shared job. we're best friends and you're so right since I'm only 17 and there's no way in hell she's the one but I mean I have to try right? I've been in love with her for months but otherwise you're so right thank you :)

Thank you! When I saw the pickup start down the drive, I felt relief knowing the vehicle could tow my car out of the grass, but I was also scared because of the stereotype that truck drivers have in rural PA.

This happened about ten years ago, and I am over the trauma of it all. It's now just a funny story from my past.

Thank you for the comment!

she has extremely homophobic chirstan parents and likes to live by their rules which im totally gonna respect. I'm just picking it cause sex made me feel horrible and icky for lack of a better word. as to what your advice is thank you so much for that. I think she still likes me because we're best friends but if that's not what she wants then I have to let her. thank you so much :)

There's absolutely nothing that can be done about yesterday. If anyone has a problem with anything from your past then don't try to force the issue. Just let them continue to move forward in their lives as you continue to do the the same. As was stated in an earlier comment, you're 17 and have your entire life ahead of you. The most important thing you can do now is decide who you want to be(yes, that is a choice) and take steps everyday to become that person. Anyone or anything that falls outside of that doesn't need an ounce of your attention.

Great story, well told! I gotta ask though, when you saw that pickup, what were you feeling? I can imagine feeling "I'm saved!" and "I'm about to be murdered..." in equal measure.

Although if I was you, I'd have been emotionally spent at that point. Detached curiosity with some vague panic is a definite possibility.

As a side note, I have a couple of things in my past that were similar clusterfucks and bothered me for years. Intrusive thought stuff. But anyways, once I shared the stories, the events became less traumatic. In the event this isn't just a funny story, and you feel a certain way about it, I'm optimistic that sharing it here could be helpful.

Thanks for sharing, take care!

Edit: Sweet username by the way.

The old man sounds like a bully. As in, he targeted you and fucked with you, because that's what bullies do. I'm 95% certain he would've done the same things even if you immediately understood and gave him the seat.

It seems like you'll regret your actions either way, but sometimes shit just happens. There's no perfect path through life, even if every move you make is flawless.

A conflict over conservative values between teenage lesbians. Well, now I've seen everything.

Now seriously, the best answer anyone can give here is probably try not to worry about it. What's done is done and what matters is if the two of you want to be together. If either one doesn't at this point then it was always going to end up like that. Better sooner than later, moving on is easier when you're young, even if it doesn't seem that way.
