Reply to comment by tinaoe in TIL that Titanic crewman Herbert Pitman made an attempt to row his lifeboat over to rescue people in the water, but was overruled by the other occupants of the boat, who were worried about people swarming them and duly complied. Pitman said that this haunted him throughout his life. by ChadExtra
This is factually incorrect. The Titanic was carrying very few lifeboats because of the designers hubris that she was a ship that could never sink

Reply to comment by Algernone25 in TIL that St. John's University's sports teams formerly being called the Redmen actually referred to the team wearing red uniforms and not Native Americans as often interpreted. Regardless, the mascot name was changed to the Red Storm in the 90s. by J_S_M_K
In addition to an actual tribe name being different than "Redmen", "Redskins", and the like.

Humans as a whole are a bunch of high functioning psychopaths, only restrained by a very thin veil of civilisation and morals.

Why you say so? I'd say it's a better measurement considering talking about population density. You generally can't build homes, factories, farms or cities on water.

Wolves and coyotes are classified as separate species, but they can produce fertile offspring.
And among Panthera hybrids--ligers, tigons, etc.--the females are fertile.
It's rare, but mules are capable of breeding as well.
