Luckily Matt Damon said "brave" not "bold" so I'm going to invest my life savings in crypto now.

Wind resistance, on the other hand, favors the bald.

Reply to comment by Anti-theist999 in TIL tomb raiding is a big problem in China that looters sometimes find historically significant sites first. For instance the tomb of the famed 3 Kingdoms-era general, Cao Cao, was discovered in 2008 after police inspected the stolen goods of a bunch of robbers, who then led them to an unknown tomb. by Khysamgathys
I read "The Three Kingdoms."Cao Cao certainly was portrayed as an ass.

English should update the saying and stop using a word that has lost its original meaning (bold=strong)... pretty much like Ivan the "terrible".

India was the richest country in the world before colonization. You don’t have to wonder what happened. There’s plenty of research on how British Raj ruled India to enrich the homeland.

If you died for your country, I don't think you'll care how you're treated after that.

The funny thing was he could. the bus was unsegregated. the Driver took offense, and call the MP then some rasicts pushed it along and set it up so they could get him court marshalled. only to have the court throw the case out.

He was a self serving imperialist who used a lot of Imperial Edicts (think Executive Orders) to get his way. He basically had the emperor hostage and used the throne to serve his own interests.
