It is legal for Sadhus to use Ganja and Charas , you can consume it too if they give it to you. But possession still is a crime, can easily bribe your way out of it.
I know places that sell weed openly in Delhi, especially in Subash Nagar. Proper Shop with a glass top mahogany office table and a leather chair with a guy dressed well sitting there with packets of weed through the table. Not a slight threat of police , it's in Subash Nagar C Block. The shop is on GPS as well

I wonder if anyone, as a joke, flew a plane over their villages, dropping gift packages.

This. The US government is an extension of corporations, and pot competes with pharmaceuticals.

He trained Garoppalo, who's already been tossed by the wayside by the same team, so I don't know how much value his "training" actually has.

Richard Schultes had a role in it as well. IIRC Albert Hofmann was the one who isolated and identified the primary psychoactive alkaloids, but Wasson and Schultes were the ones to track down and get Maria Sabina to share her knowledge and ceremony involving the fungi.

Reply to TIL that green grocery store bananas that have 'sharp' edges, rather than a more circular cross section, were likely harvested premature and they are unlikely to ripen after you take them home. by 80see
If only that was actually true. Fully box-ripened bananas are terrible. They are only edible when quite green in my opinion. Once "ripe" they are only suitable as an ingredient in other things like baking.
An actual tree-ripened banana is a wholly different thing than an artificially ripened banana...Those are actually good.

Sometime the best aren’t always good teachers - just because they can get it done doesn’t mean others can learn the intangibles. Didn’t seem to help Garrapolo, Brisset, Cassel or any of the many others

Thank you, you have let me rule out the complete idiot part and I can now classify you as just a gigantic festering asshole.
You had ZERO argument to attack, you were trying to use sarcasm to hate on Americans just because you think it's fun to hate on Americans.
And now, after you get called out on it, you are playing the victim. Just STFU and, like I said before, take your hate elsewhere.
Also, just so you know, largest and biggest are also not units of measure. But all three, including girth, can be measured, the units would vary depending on what was being measured, and in the case of land area it would be square kilometers or square miles. Although largest and biggest are synonyms so it's the same either way. Girth wouldn't be measured in this instance as it is another term for circumference or perimeter.

Minow called commercial programming a 'vast wasteland'. This led to Congress forming PBS some time later.

I've seen those "least likely to succeed" here and there and I'm guessing it's a thing in the USA? Really? Do you guys still do it today? It's a pretty fucked up thing to officially announce to your classmate that everyone thinks they're trash.

People working at Government Shops might sell it, but that's their personal operation. Not the government
