Based on is not the same thing.
Shakespeare wrote an entire play based on a Poem.
They are similar stories but not the same thing.

Sounds like he was a bit of a ladies man, if his nickname is anything to go by.

Reply to comment by 777IRON in TIL Eating every course seperately is Service à la russe. Before this meals were service à la française where all courses were served at once. Ambassador Alexander Kurakin introduced Service à la russe to France in 1810 and it became the norm by the 1880s. by jamescookenotthatone
I disagree too. Food culture travels and evolves. We have been eating curries in the UK since the 18th century - at what point do we get to call it our own?
It's as silly as telling an American that he can't consider pizza a national food because it comes from Italy.

>poem
That is the key point here. Poem didn't need to have characters played by actors, and in Shakespeare's time all female roles were played by pre-pubescent boy actors.

Shakespeare had to make it believable for the character to be played by a pre-pubescent boy.

Dude, it's a fictional play written hundreds of years ago. Get over it. You're projecting way too hard.

Oh absolutely. Yes The Teradrive was better, but that's not saying much as it also wasn't good, it's just the Amstrad version was utterly terrible.
