Y do they do that tho? Is it just to keep it alive? Was it a great movie? Did it ever get released outside of movie theaters?

Reply to TIL that Gert Frobe, the actor who portrayed Auric Goldfinger in James Bond, was a former Nazi. Because of this, Goldfinger was banned in Israel until a Jewish man informed the Israeli Embassy that Frobe had hidden his mother and him from the Nazis. by NYstate
He joined the Nazis when he was 16, but left before the war started at the age of 24, eventually he was drafted. So I'm guessing he matured a bit and realised it was all a bit stupid. And the ban only lasted a few months until the revelation about hiding some Jews came out

Reply to TIL about Jamaican Ginger AKA "Jake" which was popular during Prohibition for its high alcohol content. Unfortunately it caused paralysis leading to a distinctive walk called the Jake Walk or the Jake Dance. by HeavyMetalOverbite
That's a different story than I heard. Ya got the 'Jake leg' from drinking the 1st bit of a moon-shine run. Something about it being a different kinda alcohol that was toxic.
I don't know. There's something to be said for licensed and bonded...damn taxes....

Hunchback isn’t that long but you’re not wrong that he probably could’ve done without some of the bird’s eye view of Paris parts

Lol they got so mad at my parody, they deleted their comment.
It won't let me reply anymore, but that's hilarious they blocked me for repeating what they said.
I guess [Unavailable] means you were blocked by the user.

So the print that’s shown is on lease from the distributor and box office proceeds are still going to them?

This is a very neat TIL.
The article is really good too. One part that jumped out from it was how much Senator Richard McCarthy was responsible for revealing how much of a chemical weapons program the US had. Almost seems like a shame that we so much remember the other McCarthy and so much less so this one.

We shared 10 years together, 8 healthy passionate years, and 2 "fighting cancer" years. They were all incredible, as I discovered a depth of compassion in me that I didn't know existed.

He's saying Californians are wimps for not being able to handle the temperature. But it's like no shit, normal temps in LA during winter is like 40-60f and their only weather events are rain and earthquakes.
