I still say it when I’m at the games in Indy. Don’t even know the real ending, never gets sung in Kansas City.

Also, this strategy conceals the bird’s silhouette.

That's not how evolution or instincts work at all. This is essentially saying that if a creature lodges it's neck between two rocks and pulls enough, future generations will eventually have long necks

It's not always that loud. And they have earplugs if it does get too loud.

It's for a sport that has a high chance of injury and permanent brain damage. You don't really expect to go in there for a vegan colon cleanse and a yoga session.

That way you don’t have to hear about CTE.

So he knows as much as I do about the true meaning of Nintendo!

Allegedly it means “Leave luck to heaven” and the literal translation according to a Japanese friend of mine is pretty close. This has never been confirmed by Nintendo though.

And their stadium is more closed up which helps to amplify sound. Still, it was a fun little back and forth.

Ehhh, it’s fun. Worth the hearing damage. If you’ve had a drink in the last week you’ve done more damage to your body than going to a Chiefs game would.

Truck driver here as well. The amount of literal stupidity we have to deal with is over the top. Now, not understanding the ditto marks is one thing, but I also had a dispatcher be angry at me because he thought I was able to cross a river on a ferry with max allowed weight of 5 tons, whereas I had a big rig and couldn't possibly go on that ferry. The only road I could take added about 1 hour to my route and he called me yelling at me why it takes me an hour for a 5 km stretch of road. I asked him if he sees a blue line on whatever map he's looking at. He said yes. I asked him if he knows what it means. He said a river. I asked him if he knew which button to press to turn my truck into a boat and he dropped the call and didn't speak to me again.

I can remember back to late 90s when I was a kid announcers mentioning how loud arrowhead is during games. Not a chiefs fan or from kc but for some reason that's always like the first thing I think of when I see the chiefs.

Reply to TIL about Saint-Malo, Brittany. This city on the French coast has some of the highest tides in Europe, rising as high as 40 feet during parts of the year, and the water withdrawing hundreds of yards. A sea wall, built in the 17th century, protects the city from the tides. by marmorset
The buildings along the coast are also built as breakwaters, and multiple layers of glass are required to withstand the waves. The first expeditions to Canada sailed from Saint-Malo, and it later became a home to pirates that would harass British ships in the channel.
