Midges invaded Iceland in 2015 and are already proving as much of a nuisance as they are in Scotland.

Well, when Marlon Brando boycotts something, it tends to steal the show like a true Godfather.

I would imagine that Pacino’s tantrum is little known, because it was overshadowed by Marlon Brandon’s own boycott.

Actually, I was just being a clown. It wasn’t a serious comment.

So hours should be different lengths on different days of the year?

The ulnar nerve is connected from shoulder to hand and is protected by bones and muscles. To misquote Alfred Hitchcock: everyone enjoys a nice funny bone hit provided it's not their bone.

Reply to TIL that Laurel & Hardy and the Our Gang kids reshot each film for foreign audiences by phonetically reciting their lines in the foreign language by uncled0d0
This was a pretty common practice in the days before subtitles, though often they'd swap some members of the cast for actors who spoke the language. The Spanish version of Dracula is generally considered a superior film thanks to the alternate cast.

Fun fact: she was born the same year as Elizabeth II. That’s what makes the footage of the two of them meeting so interesting—the same age, but so different!

Reply to comment by tetoffens in TIL the term "death row" comes from an assassination attempt on FDR. The shooter Giuseppe Zangara was sentenced to death, but there was already a convict awaiting execution, and FL law forbade them from sharing cells. A second cell was built, turning the "death cell" into the first "death row." by AdmiralAkbar1
FDR went to Florida with Anton Cermak, the mayor of Chicago. My understanding is that it's likely the Chicago mob wanted Cermak dead while he was out of town and that FDR may not have been the actual target.

Must be before 2015. There’s a whole region of Iceland called Mývatn that translates as ‘midge’.
