Damn, never thought about this until now. I've lived all over, I have great vision, but I think a lot of the time I was focusing on all kinds of distances growing up. Also on fast moving objects. I used to race motorcycles and you need fast eyesight to deal with corners you're flying up to at 100+ MPH.

If I’ve learned anything from cartoons, it’s actually a giant ghost trap/containment system.

They wanted to build a massive pipeline through those lands and Jimmy wasn't Inuit and would have Nunavut.

Interesting to see that the final legislation was passed and signed after Carter lost re-election, and before the Republicans would have taken over majority control of the senate in January 1981. A major piece of lame-duck legislation.

It's a vacuum in the video. The water vapor is being removed by the pump as fast as it boils. If it wasn't, it would stop being a vacuum.

Can confirm, I have the useage of only on eye at a time due to minor childhood strabismus which could have been corrected with easy exercises as a child. I regret very often that this did not occur, I have no depth perception as an adult as a result.

Does it make you feel better by polluting up a thread about “wild” horses with your unneeded language policing? Wild horses in the US are feral. We get it. You need to be a fucking douche about it. We get that too.

I read the lake was saline, but I'm sure there were still plenty of uses, as you mention, despite the salt. But when I first commented it was like everyone was avoiding the elephant in the room, lol. I can't believe the whole thing just disappeared like that, though. Crazy. And even just the height it was at sorta blew my mind.
