Reply to TIL It takes 20 years for clothing to be considered "vintage" and today’s most sought-after vintage styles are ‘90s and early ‘00s by Ok_Copy5217
I can see the styles of the 60's, 70's, 80's, and some of the 90's have a place in revival aesthetics, but the late 90's and 00's were just trash.

5 pin is too hard. They should keep it in Canada. Frankly bowling in general should be left to Canadians like curling. It's as interesting as watching grass grow.

Yeah, I am completely agreeing with that part. Natural doesn't mean good, but is still used in marketing to imply that it's good/healthy/safe.

I live in South Africa and have been fortunate to be able to see the big 5, and most animals in-between.
But wild dogs have always been may favorite.

Radio technology used by the military was also used commercially after the war. Stations could broadcast further, reaching wider audiences

It was a crock, brought on by some multinational, just out for a buck imo. There are only so many notes, so many chords and so many combinations of them. The entire music industry is based on this sort of thing, artists know this and consequently tolerate minor semblences. People who have no other talent, tend to clutch at this sort of thing. Thanks a fuckin lot Adam Hills, for pointing this out BTW

Mondale: Hello, Jimmy, I love you. I am going to make a delicious dinner meal.
Reagan turns around and shoots Mondale in the head
Mondale fucking dies
Reagan: Jimmy, your VP is dead. Do an order of peanuts for dinner.
Carter: Okay, Raygun.
Carter: Hello, can I get a box of peanuts for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?
Reagan awkwardly caresses Carter
Reagan: Now, it is time for Democrat - Republican bonding. Bond with me, Jimmy.
Carter and Reagan sit down to watch the tube, Reagan is holding a pistol in his left hand
Doorbell rings
Carter answers the door
Deliveryman: Here are your peanuts.
The peanuts fly from the Deliveryman's hands, decapitating Reagan
Reagan: Oh, shit.
Reagan fucking dies
Carter: Just another day in the Carter Administration.
Carter wins a second term
Rod Serling: (narrating as the ending credits roll) You unlock this door with a key of imagination, beyond this is another dimension. A dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You are moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas, you've just crossed over into THE TWILIGHT ZONE. DUN DUN. YEAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
Brief shot of Horatio Caine donning his favorite sunglasses

Ever hear of capris? Those and “pant shorts” were a thing (a zipper converted pants to shorts).

War was also a catalyst for the massive postwar music scene, the compilation of tons of folk songs with blues led directly to the creation of rock and roll in the post war era.

Jimmy Carter was a Cold War foreign policy hawk no different than Ronald Reagan or any of the other neo liberals and neo conservatives. At every turn he chose to arm and support far right regimes against leftist activists. He supported the Suharto regime commit genocide against the people of East Timor. He aided the Somoza Regime of Nicaragua. He aided the Mujahideen who would later go on to become parts of Al Qaeda and the Taliban. He supported Khmer Rouge of Cambodia. The list goes on and on.
