Religion has an excellent track record of that.

Yeahhh… here’s to hoping Rockstar management will continue to have their staff crunch and do 100 hour work weeks so that they can release RDR3…
Oh wait…they’re already doing that for GTA6. Welp, maybe next time.

Actually... (sorry I had to)
Fast Fashion is planned obsolescence - ie: Making shoddy inexpensive clothing that people only wear once or twice and then it falls apart.
It has nothing to do with trends, fads or styles, which are driven by music, celebrities and yes fashion designers and textile companies.

Reply to TIL india is the biggest exporter of hairs in the world. India's hair exports account for 80% of the global market by pinkcheems
It's kind of exploitation though. Basically religion has setup a system to harvest peoples hair and then sell it for their own profit.
> Once their wishes are realized, all of the family members come back to the temple and shave their heads to thank the god, Sreeja explained. Primary dealers then buy women's hair from these temples at a discount and sell it to industrialists like Sreeja, who then process it and export the extensions overseas.

I don't think I would consider that a religion then, maybe personal spirituality. What would be the point though unless you're just making something new up for yourself? All major religions that currently exist have been endlessly corrupted since they were introduced, and their raw original forms would likely just have revealed how different society was back when they were created.

Tall towers are painted red and white to help them stand out better against a blue sky during the day too. And beacon lights at the top are required in cities normally over 100ft but after 300 ft you also need side light beacons too. Some towers are specifically built to be 295ft tall so they can save money on maintaining three lights.

Cool.
Here's a list of the documented victims Che Guevara is known to have a direct hand in killing.

I loved when suburban hipsters in the late 90s / 2000's used to wear his face on their tshirts. One of the most ridiculous trends of my era.

Hard disagree, religion is and always has been a means of control.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I feel like I read somewhere that Muslims were "forbidden" to space travel and explore Mars because that was akin to risking their life?
