Daniel Ortega is president of Nicaragua. Bongbong Marcos is president of the Philippines. Russia is an evil empire run by a dictator and waging pointless war. What were the 80s even for?

With the way the parks are, might as well build an identical replica right next to each other.

And if my profession was charities, i might agree, but its not. I deal with the long-reaching ramifications of IP on a day to day basis. The government shouldn't be carving out the public domain, regardless of how well-intentioned..All copyright should pass, without exception.

Luckily they're not going to be able to come close to achieving their aims.
They aren't very big, but they are a lot bigger than most people would imagine given the Netherland's reputation for social liberalism.

It's literally a world-class hospital that has pioneered many treatments, including operating on a baby with spina bifida in the womb and curing a child of Leukaemia using gene edited T-cells.
The amount of good this hospital does, on a global scale, is unparalleled.

Reply to TIL that Kurt Cobain got the inspiration to make Nirvana's famous song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" when Kathleen Hanna, the singer of the band "Bikini Kill" wrote "Kurt smells like teen spirit" on a board. Teen Spirit was a woman's deodorant and he didn't knew it until he was done with the song. by WonderfulWanderer777
Teen Spirit, as the name suggests, was aimed at very young women.
The point of the jibe was that Cobain was sleeping with someone inappropriately young for him.

Another really fucked up read that is all true is The Hot Zone, if you haven't read that one yet I highly recommend it. It's about the Ebola virus and how completely moronic scientists and government officials essentially released Ebola out to the masses in the U.S. literally a couple miles away from Washington D.C. The only reason the U.S. didn't get completely fucked is because it was miraculously some new mutation of Ebola that wasn't as deadly (they didn't know this though at the time). There is a show too, but it's no where near as good as the book imo.

It’s an interstate extensions designated as such so yeah I would guess so

Reply to TIL in the 1920s, Coco Chanel accidentally got a tan, and helped inspire the trend of sunbathing. Soon "sunlight therapy" was prescribed for almost every ailment from fatigue to tuberculosis. Before this, tanned skin was associated with the lower classes who work outside, and fair skin was revered. by Pfeffer_Prinz
Yeah the reverence for lily white skin back in those days had nothing to do with white supremacy and everything to do with the status symbol of not having to work outside. You'll hear "lily white skin" referenced a lot in old English folk songs to describe the beauty of a woman, and while that's problematic to today's audiences for obvious reasons, it had no racist connotations back in the day.

One of the big Pantomime companies in the UK now only does "the further adventures of Peter Pan" rather than adapt the original story to avoid paying GOSH.

Nope, murderers should never be released from prison and it's just a flaw of the justice system. 35 years isn't nearly enough.
