Also, agrarian work was often very close to home. So larger midday meals with the family would be easier. If you worked at the factory, you were farther away from home and modern labor laws likely would have prevented a midday respite from a grueling 12 hour shift.

So, the elderly. Just because Gam-Gam is old doesn't mean she ain't getting it from the Grandude across the hall of the old folks home.

From the Wikipedia article, it seems the Rockefellers are also used.
But royal families have the benefits of officially recorded lineages ensuring no ambiguities about descendents and good living conditions and healthcare ensuring long lives.

Reply to TIL the Japanese government launched Sake Viva, a contest to encourage young people to drink more and so boost tax revenues. by penguinopusredux
Make senses - there’s a ideal amount of drinking a population can do where you can maximise tax revenue before people on average start drinking enough to damage their health and society.
Not sure any country is capable of actually achieving that though…

Switching from farming to factory work.
The heaviest load is usually done by midday in farming or keeping animals. So you are starving by midday.

Much more common in the US, is to use a family life. Example: “this trust will last as long as the life of Tom Jones or any of his now living decedents, plus 21 years.” It could be a trust, rental contract, or some other type of contract. Many states have gotten rid of this old 21 year rule, and allow 90 years, 360 years, or even 1000 years.
The point is to not keep property, especially real estate, bound up forever.

You’d be surprised that white people, just like black people, judge other white people if their skin is too white. I’m not sure about Asians and other colors but I can tell you racism exists even among people of the same color. You’re too white, too dark, etc.

It’s not simply sunlight; Australasia has a combination relatively high UV light levels, clear skies, and a high proportion of people with pale skin compared to other sunny parts of the world (more here). Especially in summer and unlike the UK a pale person like me can easily burn in the sun in as little as ten or fifteen minutes- you can actually feel it start to happen as soon as you step outside.

Cadmium is very toxic. Welding on cad-plated materials (usually the plating looks somewhat yellow) is very bad news.

Skin colors being based on different ethnicities is immaterial to the post, unless you have examples of cases where the people of lighter skinned ethnicities do not look down upon the people with darker skin because of their color. I would bet that an Aryan Indian parent would prefer their child marry another lighter-skinned Indian than a darker skinned one, even if it's normal for that ethnicity to be darker

Source for that claim is a history of the military art textbook written by a West Point professor that is a leading authority in Cold War history. It’s a pretty damned reliable source
Just a note that “trained to deploy” doesn’t mean actually issued the device. Very likely that the training was a precaution but very few devices were actually issued.
