If you want rain and 50 and misery come on up! But really don’t. We are having the worst winter. There isn’t much to do since everything that makes Vermont nice is outdoors and it just keeps raining. Current 10 day has rain 5 of those 6 days. If we get lucky it will be colder than expected and that will all be snow which will suck for travel but be good for outdoor activities

Honestly, the shit-boxes that come to VT from NY are hazardous at best. Giant gaping rust holes all over the body, so much so that you can see through the car. Imagine how close the suspension is to failure.

I agree with this. We bought our house in NEK for a little under $80,000 in 2019 and our taxes have gone up almost $1,800 in 2 years and our house value doubled. During covid people came out of state and paid cash for homes around up for $500,000 and more! It was a selling/buying spree! If this pace keeps up we'll be homeless and forced out.

I had these same issues. Dealership wanted $3500 for all my issues (I had a few others).

I don't care how my car looks, so I got some bondo, automotive spray paint, and sealer and fixed the holes myself (after sanding the rust away in the first place).

They also got me for a small rust hole in my muffler. I ended buying a new one from Oriellys and installed it myself.

Saved tons of money doing the work, and a bunch of other things myself.

Also, anyone who said the dime sized hole in the runner board under my rear passenger door is a safety hazard GO FUCK YOURSELF YOU TWIT.

They will come from everywhere, what's going to happen is as the climate continues to break down, southern and midwestern/western states are going to become more uninhabitable due to climate induced events, so people are going to start showing up more and more to our area of the country. Whether they have houses or jobs to come to won't matter, people will show up regardless, and they'll live in their cars, tents, or shacks to do it, just like desperate migrants have for all of human history.

Politicians here, like most places, don't seem to understand this reality, Scott especially is incredibly stupid when it comes to this future, but there's a good chance he'll still be office as people start to show up on his doorstep, maybe then he'll actually do something about housing and climate resiliency.
