When i was in the service i spent some time in the midwest, It was a snapshot of the layers of hills and mountains from here that helped me keep my sanity,lol. It's just so... Dull out there, nothing to draw the eye and make the mind wonder, what's over that hill?

He's a goalie, he used to play a lot in the Burlington area, by far my favorite critter in VT.

I have mint mobile and it works mostly fine. In chittenden county no problems whatsoever but you start to run into issues when you're on certain parts of the mountains or in the rural areas of the state. One big gripe though is that the international fees are insane and I'm swapping to a different carrier just for ease of use in our northern neighbor.

TBH i dont even care if the majority of it (VT or even greater America itself ) goes against the rights that the LGBT community have had recognized. These are basic rights inherent to any and all self aware entities. Those who stand against such deserve no place in a civilized society.

I feel your sentiment. I moved from South Florida in May and am going back to Florida for a wedding next week. I can't wait to miss Vermont and hate Florida more than I already did. Vermont really is a special place for me and I'm glad it exists. But you're from Georgia and I know how Georgia can be in some parts. It's more of the same but at least you're not an actual flat lander like me 😂

More First Aid than survival but we have mixed in some survival products in to the trailhead soft kit such a emergency blankets, bivy sack, compass, fire starter, etc. At the end of the day we are giving enough supplies to hopefully get you out of the woods while maintaining lightweight and portability. Solar charger (built into the outer case)? Something that can notify emergency services of your location? Emergency (thin foil?) “blanket”? Iodine? Some dehydrated food?

Absolutely. For a variety of reasons. But I’d say, since VT is a tourist destination, the VT sub probably tends to have more out of staters than other state subs. It’s an interesting dynamic

Screw the Marten. They are Sadists. They should all be turned into gloves and purses.....they will find the smallest hole in your chicken coop and decapitate all of your chickens in a night. They don't eat the chickens....they just get off chewing their heads off.
I had one that came back every other night for a month just to kill one chicken at a time. I tried live traps...not so live traps and finally caught him in a snow storm where I could track him. Too bad by that time I was down to 3 chickens.
They are pretty and soft though. Smart animal....just sadistic. I wouldn't have minded if it utilized the bird. But they don't.

Too many people, an increasing percentage of which seem to lack the “live and let live” attitude that most Vermonters had when I was growing up. It’s the main reason why I’m planning to move. I just want to be left alone.
