This is what's in my first aid kit Alcohol wipes A few gauze pads A few bandaids Maybe a butterfly closure Good waterproof tape Ibeprofen in a small tube Benadryl (at least 4) Key chain swiss army knife. Scissors and file are most useful Spain headlamp batteries Some duct tape Lighter Sometimes I'll add a sam splint and bigger tape if it's a longer ski/bike outing. Personally my philosophy is go as light as possible so you're more inclined to carry it.

5 cents per can when the redemption act was passed in 1972 would be 36 cents today. Source. (Good god, it was 34 cents when I checked this stat nine months ago.)

Could you imagine redeeming two 12-packs worth of empties and having enough money to get yourself a small lunch? That's what it was like when the act was passed.

This kind of stuff needs to be indexed to inflation. It pains me that it never is. How hard would it be to add a clause to the bill stating that the redemption values printed on cans shall increase each year (or every 5 years, or whatever) at the rate of inflation over the same time frame, rounded down (or up) to the nearest cent.

It would be so easy. Just raise the redemption price and include an inflation-indexing clause and this would be future-proofed.

I'll be curious how Morrisville turns out. Who will live in those apartments? It's pretty much out of commute range to chittenden county. That's almost Burlington pricing. I suspect developer will be unable to rent and will lower prices. As for air bnb locals need to put in place strong regulations that either cap the number or tax the crap out of it.

Unfortunately from a cost perspective it is not feasible to have kits designed for every ecosystem zone. It would be alot of overhead sitting on shelves which is why no company has kits designed for that. Most consumers add extra supplies/equipment to their kits.

We do have a tick key in the Trailhead bag, sting relief wipes, posion ivy wipes, hydrocortisone cream etc.

Porcupines! They usually catch me going way too fast on winding dirt roads and force me to slow down and/or stop. They remind me to unclench and take it easy, and their little waddle is so stinking cute it just melts my troubles away to watch.

I'd be concerned about anyone who wants more Little Caesar's anywhere. Seriously, if your main criteria is that it's cheaper, then you probably shouldn't be dining out anyway. Save your money and make some goddamn PBJ sandwiches to go with your White Claw and Mike's Hard Lemonade.

It's not like this kind of work is going to attract any "cream of the crop" employees. If you can stand, you're basically qualified. $15/hour seems generous. I'd hardly call it a "dying trade", surely not like valuable plumbers or electricians who actually have to go through some serious training and apprenticeship before they can be certified.

Sorry, not sorry.

Totally put the moleskin in the smaller one, just a half strip or something. It's such a day saver.

Was working on a trail crew this fall and one of the old timers is a physician. Never seen anyone whip it out of their pack faster when I said the word "hot spot".

I really like your medicine selection.

I love this Vermont product!! I'm proud of carrying my first aid and I'd be very proud to carry Vermont products in it.

Thank you. It would have made her day to know someone was going to give them a try. I love them, but they are an acquired taste. She would have told you that they're best eaten after splashing a little malt vinegar over them. She had Alzheimer's and the way the ladies at Fish and Chip were always so warm and welcoming, even when time and time again she acted as if she'd never been there before... Brings tears to the eye.
