I need to ski two more times to break even on my Epic Pass.

There's a 14% excise tax by the state, which made nearly $330k in the first month of legal sales. That money first goes to the VT cannabis control board's budget to backfill costs. After that, 70% goes to the state general fund and 30% goes to substance misuse and prevention.

The VT standard 6% sales tax also made $144k in the first month. That goes to afterschool and summer learning programs.

Property tax is town-based, so a town could add an extra 1% tax to be able to fund some taxes and potential tax relief, but based on the current sales numbers they'd only be making a few thousand for their towns per month.

As far as property tax relief, that's going to be a no. It's a different "bucket" than the general fund.

Omg yes. Mainly due to my Saint Bernard. 1. He loves the winter and eating snow. 2. He he stays so much cleaner in the winter, and doesn’t track in nearly as much dirt when there is snow on the ground.

Anyone know what the weed taxes are going to look like and where that tax money will be used. I really hope that the new taxes being collected on weed can be used to lower our income and property tax rates. Very doubtful but a man can dream...

I was visiting friends in MA a couple weeks ago and a grandma was my budtender at the dispensary I stopped at! She was incredibly helpful, we need more weed grandmas.

I see two slightly snowy days projected in the next ten days around Chittenden County. So we’ll maybe have 1-2” of snow by Jan. 15th. That’s not normal.

You don’t understand what you’re describing, we aren’t coming out of an Ice Age we’re seeing a global temperature increase that is leading to crop losses, drought and ecological destruction. The planet is more than warm enough as it is.

I’ve said it a few times but my fruit trees didn’t drop their leaves until a month after I expected and started trying to grow new ones fairly recently, that’s terrible for them.
