Depending on what you’re interested in, you could research the Montpelier/Barre area for some decent restaurants and/or museums. You’ll only be 45 minutes or so from Burlington which opens up a lot more options if you want a small city vibe. Aside from that, southern Vermont is underrated if you’d be willing to drive some more. Ludlow, Weston, Woodstock, Manchester…plenty of different options to explore. In all honestly, being open to outdoor activities like snowshoeing or skiing would helpful but so far this winter hasn’t been anything to write home about, so it could be the right time to seek out other activities if that’s your type of thing!

So what do you want to call it if the term anomaly bothers you so much?
Without more data, it IS an anomaly, and it COULD potentially become a trend but for now it is anomalous as we don't have more data... that's the word for it.
Sorry words bug you so much...kinda funny though, snowflakey thing to want to argue about.

Yea, we got a car (all wheel drive) and are staying in Waitsfield.

All depends on where you’re staying and if you have your own transportation! There’s plenty of options for each part of the state, as long as you can get around on your own.

Reply to comment by Outrageous-Outside61 in what would happen if you tapped your Sugar Maples during this weather? by here_f1shy_f1shy
Yeah if youre already tapping might as well boil at 1.8 for sure. Will have to check what my neighbors are seeing. I could hear them working today so I know they’re tapping but don’t know if they are running yet or not. Lots of work to do after that big Christmas blow. Luckily they leave most of it right by the trail for me to scavenge for firewood. They tap nearly 2k of my trees do we’ve got a good relationship

It's okay for people to ask stupid questions if they admit they're clueless fyi. I got a great answer from a different user and usually when someone gives a legit answer to a dumb question other dumb people learn stuff that they are too afraid to ask about.

Second this.
I spent Christmas 2014 on the beach in MA, off the north shore. Shorts, flip flops, all that. Hi 60’s, low 70s.
January 6th 2015, I moved myself across MA convinced we’d have a warm winter. No snow in sight.
The next week, it started to snow and didn’t stop until April, and there was a fucking Yeti digging peoples cars out in Boston. Fuck that noise, don’t be fooled, NEK is going to get clobbered.

Hey if your point is that Vermont should have a state monopoly on weed sales - including tightly controlling the number of outlets in a geographic area - then we are on the same page brother.

This was part of an AI series on supervillains from each state. I saw the God version and thought the super villain looked cooler, so I wanted to share.

see you in 2030!
I'm the same way. I grow my own, but I wouldn't be against picking up for something special, if it wasn't ridiculous prices. Sometimes more variety would be nice.

You can go to the ones on the Akwasasne reservation - cheaper than VT.

Since I'm coming from Montpelier, that's a bummer for me - longer drive - but good for them. That's some of the best food in the state right now.

No I'm super upstate NY (Plattsburgh area) so the closest place is Vermont for me. Thank you for that tip I never would have known that and thank you for solidifying my plans to finally go over and see what they have for live resin vapes(if any.) Speaking of, since this will be my first time in a dispensary and I'll be like a little kid in a candy store are there any products you would recommend?

Bout time we made a sub like that. Will be interesting to see if it’s mostly Vermonters giving advice or other tourists/newcomers.
