Thanks for that info. I’m looking for kindness like helping each other, not “bless your heart” kind of southern BS.

Further, is it even possible for "100% Pure Maple Syrup" to taste like coconut? Or can they still claim 100% pure if they add a coconut flavoring?

On the subject of internet -
Do not trust the nice call center people at whatever telco to be able to tell you if an address gets broadband. Similarly do not trust realtors. Their maps paint in broad strokes. If you're going for wireless, pay for the company to assess before purchasing property. No exp w satellite I guess it's an option too.
Look into ECfiber, or Vtel for the mid to southern VT areas - if you're not into the Burlington realm those are gonna be your best bet (fiber to the home, fairly turnkey). Rutland, Brattleboro, Barre/Montp will be Comcast or Consolidated - ask the neighbors.
'Somewhat friendly' by VT standards may differ to 'somewhat friendly' by southern standards, lol - but coops, unitarians, libraries can be good indicators of community verve.

Generally no. However, if you go on the ice voluntarily in these conditions, I think you should be charged for rescue.

I’d love to show you but I’m a woman on Reddit so it’s probably not a good idea with my main account. Thank you for your interest though.

Brattleboro has a good arts scene and you can find some land in between there and Wilmington

Bristol area, Lincoln. Some good places in the rural areas, but proces went way up during covid with peo0le fleeing their cities to come here. Still, you can find places, life is moving on. Community is incredible for small town living, a lot of good folks doing good things artistic. So beautiful here, can't really do better unless you want access to shit. Mad river valley too. Good luck, I lived in the South too for years and hated it. Welcome to paradise, hope to see you at the river.

I bet BJ’s and Target advertise in Consumer Reports more than Butternut Farms does.

Why even do this comparison when they know BJs and Target may source some of their syrup from Vermont producers? This whole thing feels like a veiled dump on Vermont by someone who’s political views espouse a distaste for anything coming out of Vermont!

I do not recommend the post office unless you're okay with having 2 days off a month and able to travel out of state for a week for the training
