And the funny thing is, even THAT is marginal for a single-income household. Decent place to live, functional car, health care for a family? $27/hr doesn't cut it.

Are you an artist with an existing customer base that will be doing sales online? Local sales will be a struggle to support you otherwise, plus you’ll be moving into a state and taking business away from the natives so I wouldn’t expect a ton of open arms.
