Not much in waterbury for kids. Williston has Get air or Monkeydo. The latter is pretty good to work with and a little easier to turn 6 year olds loose in.

Gotta give you an up vote for that. That was spot on.

My dude, I know that. Restaurant work is hard as shit, exhausting, and rarely pays $50/hr.

Yes, but without customers, or buyers, there will no businesses. The wealthy can only by so many rolls of toilet paper.

From bottom to top: ski socks. Then for pants, base layer. Either moisture wicking leggings or long underwear of some kind. You'll tuck this into your socks and have all of this inside your boots so make sure it's not too bumpy or bulky. Depending on temp and the warmth of your snow pants, bring a second baggier pair of pants to put over the base layer. Sweats or pajama pants do the trick. These outer pants and your snow pants will get pulled down over the outside of your boots. Up top, a moisture wicking long sleeve or turtle neck. And again, depending on the temp and the warmth of your jacket, you may want a second sweater over that, I like a quarter zip fleece. If it's really cold, you may want a baggy hoodie over all of this. Then your jacket. I'm a big advocate for layering on your hands too. I usually do a thin pair of texting/driving gloves under a pair of mittens. Mittens will always be warmer than gloves. Then on your head, bring a couple neck warmer/balaclava options and see what feels best. These are going to get wet with sweat, snot, spit (yeah it's gross) so have a backup. Also consider a thin hat for under your helmet.

Businesses will just adapt and automate needing less workers. At some point there won’t be any jobs at all and a whole lot of unemployed people. $40k/yr is a whole lot more than zero. Markets will correct from the whole pandemic deal.

Keep believing your delusions but it ain’t ever happening. Feelings do not equal reality. I stared working in high school and worked my way up from minimum wage over a long long time. Not born with money and am not “rich” now. I lived in a lot of shitty apartments and drove beater cars for many years. I also understood that you gotta work your way up to a reasonable living….AND that I was not entitled to it just for being born.

Tons of off-roading in Vermont. Not always done within the law, but people off-road all over the place.

Unforch is now going to be one of those things I start saying ironically, but it will slowly creep it’s way into my vocabulary.

Lots of land in other states. Let young Vermont families buy houses, don’t make our shortages worse and force people to leave their home state.

It’s fucking crazy. I’m a hardcore liberal, and I am amazed at the total lack of understanding and empathy in these over privileged liberals coming from other states and displacing people here.

Fix your home state. Stay and fight. All you are doing is excersizing privilege leaving those worse off behind. We don’t need more liberal artists in Vermont. Sure you will fit in with the other 300k of them, but we are past saturation level. Better to try to make a better world where you are then run from it.

Like I said, Christmas week and President’s week are easily 50/hour. Along with leaf peeper season. This fall was wild! Unfortunately I’m not making shit right now because there’s no snow so it sucks… but a normal winter season would be at least 30 an hour. That’s in cash. I have a 401k so my paycheck isn’t really anything but I’m not sure what else you want to argue about
