I heard the new security check setup changed that?

I think only northerners say this. In Hawaii and Florida where there's real sugar cane we know what it is.

Do large producer's blend their syrup, like honey or liquor, to provide a more consistent flavor?

Try the top floor of the airport parking garage. When we flew home for the holidays, they left around 9-10am

As of October 22, you needed a boarding pass, based on a previous reddit thread.

Sorghums cool. I started growing it for cow feed in a drought a couple years ago, but in talking to some sorghum specialists I learned all about how it’s what most refer to as sugar cane in the US.

You’ve already gotten good advice so I’ll just add that the second best time and place to see them is from my office 1 millisecond after I take myself off mute on Zoom.

Why not go to the observation deck (2nd floor) of the airport terminal, and enjoy the view from those beautiful wooden rocking chairs ?
It is still open to the public isn't it ?

There's a field/parking/dog park on the end of Kirby Rd where you can see them broadside. They usually go a little after 9 and then around 1pm.

You can't see the runway from this spot, but airport traffic goes right over the shopping area in Williston. I've seen them fly over here a few times, and I don't even go there very often.
There probably isn't a set schedule released to the public, although I'm sure the unit has an internal schedule to manage their required flight hours.

The old control tower is the best place but I can’t remember/an out of the loop: it’s now beyond security right? Or did they change it back?

We used a Grimm 4x10 in the 2010s.

The Champion Evaporator was first manufactured in Hudson, Ohio in 1881, and in June of 1890, G.H. Grimm secured a lease for land alongside the railroad in Rutland, Vermont and over that summer erected a 120 by 40-foot one-story building.
There was another, completely unrelated, Champion Evaporator Company that operated in Berkshire, Vermont and later Richford, Vermont about this same time in the 1880s. This company was relatively short lived with evaporators in production from 1882 to about 1887.
You can read more history about this and maple syrup in general here: https://maplesyruphistory.com/2019/02/27/evaporator-company-histories-g-h-grimm-manufacturing-co/

Also just bc everyone’s on here nagging; be a good soul and be mindful. You’re not likely to find a proper off reading trail that doesn’t go through private property. Do yourself a favor and take a dirt back road (like the one I recommended), be cautious, and count your blessings bc yea if you’re off the road, it’ll be a bit before someone finds you, you’re not likely to have cell service, and the tow bill will be very very sucky and yes you may die but that’s unlikely unless you’re being very silly behind the wheel (in which case maybe you had it coming?)

I trust consumer reports for home furnishing and mattress reviews, not food. They tend to do inconsistent comparisons by maker, not like all fancy grade maples or all dark amber maples.
