The real question is where you can find public transport in Vermont.

Deer hunting near Granby and jumped something large in a stand of brush. Couldn't really see the body but the forelegs were visible and white and I thought to myself... "What's a horse doing way out here in the middle of nowhere?" What busted out of the brush was an adult cow moose. I was shocked as all moose I'd seen before had tan leggings. Seemed so unusual that it became a regular to recite when exchanging hunting tales. Fast-forward a few years and I'm watching a documentary on Alaskan moose and every single one they filmed had white leggings...

I've hunted deer, moose, small game, waterfowl, turkey in VT and have done my fair share of fishing.
Turkey is my favorite game to hunt because of how active the calling and "playing with the birds" is. Getting good at practicing calls, and hearing the responses based on the types of calls you give is always a lot of fun. Not to mention, turkey are pretty plentiful and there isn't nearly as much scouting involved as there is with deer.
Also, I grew up surfcasting and offshore saltwater fishing for stripers off Long Island but got really into fly fishing in the last 12 years that I've lived in VT. There is something quintessentially different about fly fishing compared to offshore. Even if I don't get a single bite, the rhythm of the moving water and flow of casting is much more zen than the comparatively high action of saltwater fishing. I prefer it of late.

To everyone writing about local government corruption, I hear you. BUT, you should see the power County Commissioners have over unincorporated territories out west. Scary almost.

A dog in VT was just killed in a trap last month, so it certainly does happen :( https://www.wcax.com/2022/12/26/vermont-woman-warning-others-after-her-dog-was-killed-trap/?outputType=amp

Appropriate? Sure, why not :)
Advised? Oh no, that'd be very messy. Depending on the length of transport, the gas release will be powerful as well.

Are they good spellers? Sometimes dogs misread “free range” and “firing range” and end up in the wrong one.

I moved to Vermont a few years ago to escape the NYC / NJ commute and ski more.
What I did not expect to fall in love with is Lake Trout fishing. They fight hard, they are exceptionally exciting and fun to catch (when you can find em) and you can target them all year round as long as you have the right gear.
This past year I caught em from kayaks and also had an AMAZING day on the ice. I can try to tell stories but my YouTube videos do a much better job! Search for VT2U if you wanna see me pull a huge fish out of the ice by its tail, don't believe me just watch 😎

Chains on your corvette will be enough. After you put them on your corvette you will definitely say: “This is more than enough!” In rural areas, your loose dogs will be taken care of by the neighbors so well it will be like they’re not even there anymore. Good luck in your search for that isolated acreage next to the night life and Mexican/Asian fusion restraints! That should narrow your search area down quit a bit.

Ludlow, Killington or Stowe... visit during the winter, demand that you and your party of eight get seated right away at a breakfast restaurant, and demand fake maple syrup for your pancakes because you hate the real stuff. Then don't leave a tip, our folks get paid so well, and they just love people like you!

This. I went to a meeting a few years ago where someone asked why some important position in town wasn’t filled. The Selectboard said they couldn’t fill it. The person complained it was important and the Selectboard needed to do something about it. The Selectboard offered it to them then and there. The person said no. They shrugged at them.
Don’t like how your town is run? Run for Selectboard. Volunteer for the zoning board. This place only works if we make it work.

In terms of the tank, you are correct that capacity for a full tank is 80%. However, you need to call the propane company to come fill the tank at ~20%, because you don't know their delivery schedule. This is typical regardless of use case. So you have a real usage capacity of less than 80% and more like 60%. BTW, you want a large tank for multiple reasons, not just run capacity.
20kw generators are fairly standard for whole household. Many people have even larger. You are right, they are not going to run them full tilt for 24 hrs straight. That's why I said 2g/hr which is in on the low side of typical 1.5-3.0 g/hr range. You want your generator load to be in the 30-50% range for efficiency and longevity. I fully expect a full 500g tank to last more than a week typically, but we really don't know the use case here. So you have to use the numbers off the data sheet. Otherwise, you are under sizing. At least with the 500g tank you can go an entire week typically and you don't have to worry about it not.
In terms of batteries, you go ahead and use those batteries in zero temps. As I said there are some which can be used down to -4f, but beyond that they can't be used. Those batteries also aren't being widely used for household power. BTW, standard lifepo4 does not make any significant heat being discharged or charged. That's one of the beauties of that chemistry over lead acid. Sounds like you are quoting marketing for EV use. At least you acknowledge that you need to heat the batteries. There's plenty of horror stories where people put lifepo4 in camps, garages, out buildings, etc and heat failed and the batteries were bricked. You can just google it.

Yes of course it's okay to satisfy your hunger with delicious maple baked beans while in transit as long as you are following their rules pertaining to food. (I believe they'll have to be under 5 oz for a plane and I'm concerned about getting a can opener in your carry on.)

Hunt for turkey, deer, grouse. I prefer to fly fish but with young kids do a lot of worm bobbing out of my canoe for perch/panfish.
I hunted only a little bit growing up. It was something I really wanted to get into more after moving here. I was really lucky that the first place I rented in Roxbury, a neighbor took me under his wing and taught me a lot. I never killed anything with him, but after buying a place and moving, I killed a turkey on opening day of spring season by myself, and that fall, stalked and shot an 8 point 175lb deer on my own my property.

They also have Illinois as one of the least-corrupt states--you know, the same Illinois that has had two governors go to Federal prison in the last 20 years and another couple charged, and is home to Chicago, the most theatrically corrupt city in America. And I love Chicago! It's just that when I lived there back in the 2000s there was a routine story about an Alderman being found with 50K in cash hidden in a fridge and nobody batted an eye...
