That is a very strange dude. Though I disagree that he is the quintessential vermonter at all (where's the camo? No beard?), I do thing he would probably end up living here. Or rural Oregon, looks like an Oregonoan to me.

He does have enough hipsterness to be from Brooklyn. Fair enough.

Woodstove (Hearthstone Green Mountain 40)/Multizone mini split (Fujitsu Halcyon, 4-zones, 1 36K compressor).
I use ~ 2 cords of wood per year.
1500 sq ft
Approximately $150/mo between the two sources, keeping the house around 70-75. This will go down as my wood harvest finally starts to catch up...I've had to buy wood these past two years since it's a new build.

I did slide into a car when going down the Main St hill years ago; it was really scary and I was driving a Honda (can't recall if I had my Civic or Accord at the time). Snow tires always recommended here, but I wouldn't buy them just for a visit. I don't buy them and I live here....

You are looking down at the covered bridge and waterfalls. On the flip side in the summer jumping into the river you can see the Diners up there.

They aren’t particularly winter hardy so you may not find them as easily from local sources, but lots of hatcheries got your back. ;)

I think every teenager who goes skiing at Bolton has to burn up their brakes on the access road at least once.
I tried to pour water on mine at the bottom. Boy did they pulse after that.

670 a month on budget payment plan…. Every month. Propane. It’s insane we pay between 6,000 and 8,000 a year and go through roughly 3,000 gallons for a 2,500 sq ft old 1840 farmhouse. Doing an energy audit next year
