If you are not having luck. Next level barber shop could be a place to ask. The guys there likely won’t be able to do your hair but they might be able to point you in the right direction.

My cousin moved but before she did, she worked at Metro Hair Hair Salon.
She learned how to care for hair for POC.
Try there?

Of course! Welcome to the area!

There is HairRus on North st. in Burlington. It is a hair supply place but if you ask them, I bet they can recommend you a stylist in the area.

I was worried having to go out of state was gonna be the case 😖 I’ve never heard of CurlyProverbz, so I’ll def have to check that out!

I’d be shocked if Burlington or Winooski didn’t have a spot that’s run by or focuses on hair for people of color. Maybe try /r/Burlington? They might have some more info and good suggestions

Thank you!! Looking for fly fishing. I thought it would be more popular than it is in Vermont. But I hit the fly shop in Stowe and they were pretty helpful. Local knowledge is always the best.

In all honesty, you're probably going to have to go to another state. I live in the southern part of the state and my friends usually go to Springfield, MA, for supplies and other hair care.
I'm not familiar with upstate New York, but I'd google around Plattsburgh and see what's the what. If all else fails, Montreal?
If you're doing Ayurvedic hair care ala CurlyProverbz, I can help you out with that!
ETA: Why the downvotes tho XD

For which sport? Fwiw, get the fishing reports from the local fly shops, especially fly rod shop. Also the stream and brook guides fly fishing report is also good.
For the deer and turkey, check out the WMAs from the state. Also talk about it with everyone you meet, you never know who might have the private land hookup.
Sending broke young sportsman sympathies, been there!

Cumquats don't get to the level of hubris, you need the ultra fancy pomelo to get to hubris level . If you're getting citrus, let's make it expensive.

I’m researching that now. I’m glad I’m not the only one with this problem. I can’t believe how little some ppl in this thread are paying / how much I am in comparison haha.

We're hoping that adding insulation to the basement ceiling will help.

I love the White Mountains too, But the clamming and seafood there ain't much. It's hard to compare destinations of 6000' difference in altitude. We don't go to Acadia from April to November, either.

This! This is us. Same size, age, & propane. Who will do your audit? We even use our wood stove to supplement for dry warmth.

Have you checked out Groton State Forest, about a 20 minute drive from Montpelier? It’s the largest state forest in Vermont with lots of variable habitat for all kinds of hunting.

Same size house, also solar, also heat pump. Our electric is $25, basically GMP minimum charge. But we use 2 cords of wood to make the house a little more more toasty in the morning/evening. Granted, the solar was A LOT. The heat pump is incredibly efficient tho, for example, 20 degrees outside, heat set at 70, after everyone went to bed, our total electricity usage was less than 1 kw per hour.

Im curious if there is any good spots around Montpelier. You dont have to give away any secrets, but a general idea would be helpful. Im a broke outsider from Colorado trying to scratch my itch

Heat pump and wood stove. ~150/mo GMP and a bit under a cord so far. 67 with heat pump in a 2000sqft home, relatively well sealed after Irene so graciously opened all the walls in the first floor

I’m not sure but I once had a woman stop her car in the street and offer to do my daughters hair. There are that few people doing it that she stopped to let us know she did it.
