Yo, this is Vermont, why the hell are we stirring shit about snow? Lol.
VSP just closed 279 and part of Rt 7 because of cars off the road.
Cars off the road? In Vermont? For 5-6 measly inches of snow? I CALL FLATLANDERS!

Once you join or even look at a state or city subreddit, you’ll get these suggestions. It’s pretty random sometimes.

You don’t get people if you don’t pay them.

I bought a Home Patrol 2. Its about $500 but they pick up unencrypted police channels. A lot of PDs in the USA use encrypted channels so it won’t work everywhere but luckily most of the police departments in Vermont haven’t gone that way yet.

You need people, not just money, to staff a place. There just aren’t enough workers in Vermont right now to fill all the open jobs

I don’t think the entire state is hanging onto dairy as the industry of the future. Sure we want to help the few farmers left, but we know the writing is on the wall. Also small family farms vs coal mines are very different conceptually. One is a low impact means of food production that could actually be better for the future, the other is killing the planet.

It may be a refusal or inability to pay competitive wages to workers. Did the franchisee receive a PPP loan(s)?

My aunt's lab ended up catching anaplasmosis as well, after having used Bravecto. Jade ended up having to be put down a few months ago and Katie has now joined the family. I'm keeping my eye on these comments.

I remember the Vermont of the late 80s and compared to then Vermont has become unrecognizable to me
Not so much in a geographical sense but as in quality of life

They tore down the orig one in Rutland and recently finished rebuilding it. It's been open a week now or so.

Keene, nh was that way for most of the pandemic and even still it's a 45 minute wait in drive thru. Lobby was completely closed up until maybe 2 months ago. Staffing was a problem because you needed x amount of employees making KFC orders and x amount making taco bell orders while you need cashiers for drive thru and lobby. Even with 4 people our KFC was super slow and I felt bad for the employees busting their asses because I know they weren't making a decent wage.

Another connection is that both were destinations for the ‘back to the land’ movement in the 1960s.
