Lol I’d let you come chill on my property for WAYYY cheaper than any of that. I’m 15 min from Bennington but live in the middle of the woods. I have 30 acres that you could go nuts on so to speak. I am very liberal and do not care what you do, as long as you are respectful of the land. Camping and biking would be more than encouraged though. I live in a valley on a mountain with nothing but dirt roads and logging roads. And if your extreme enough most of my land is on a 45 degree angle hills 😋

It's all well and good until that lump of mold flops out onto your pancakes.

I used to store mine on the sideboard until I found mold floating on it.

Care to explain how IRV would eliminate the two party system better than eliminating party designations? I would argue when people don’t know what parties the candidate are from, parties become irrelevant and as an added bonus people will vote for the actual candidate. Parties lose power. IRV if anything will encourage a two party system in the greater Burlington area. It just switched republicans with progressives. No where else in the state will it make a difference. I’d love to hear your analysis though.

As someone who is from /r/all and has never tried Vermont maple syrup. How does it compare to Canadian maple syrups?

It spoils really fast if it doesn't have preservatives in it.

I’ll never forget the horror I discovered when I pulled a quart of syrup out of the cupboard, twisted off the top and found a thick film of mold on top. My flatlander stepmom had placed the open jug in cupboard after barely using it. She wasn’t bothered. She said she bought it “for the container” anyway. It was a standard plastic jug.

I tap a couple trees in my yard each year. That gallon is gone within 2 months. But yes, fridge all the way!

The bus is free to Killington. And yes, ski gear is allowed — but it can get a little packed on a few of the busses. Definitely the best way up the hill on a busy weekend, parking can be a nightmare.
Like others said, you don’t need a 4WD SUV and most rentals will be on shitty tires. I commute up the mountain in a Prius on snow tires without issue. The pass can get a little icy and the top of the access road gets a bit snowy, but the route is generally clear within a day of a heavy storm.

Was no one here a resident of Burlington when Bob Kiss got a second term? People were furious because the electorate ABSOLUTELY did not want him to get a second term, he got in because of mass confusion about the way the system worked. This was extensively documented at the time.
