TIL about the Visual Artists Rights Act...
This is fascinating. I would have bet money that an artist that got paid for work on private property would have zero say on what happens to that work after it's done and paid for.

Oh thank goodness. I thought this meant pizza shops were trying to label themselves "VT style" which would be very unwise for business. That would be last place I try if there are other options.

"Vermont style" isn't a thing, and if it was, it wouldn't be a good thing. I think a lot of people think Greek style pizza is "VT style" but they are too silly (trying to be nice here...) to give credit where it's do. It may not be my favorite style, but many of us Vermonters owe a thanks to the Greek families that opened pizza spots here.
If they are instead talking about the bland, flavorless, way too much dough style many VT shops do, that's just sad. That's just crappy bland food folks, let's not pretend that's a good thing.
In closing, a drive down 91 for a day/evening out in New Haven is well worth it for the pizza alone.

Yea this has all been very illuminating for me to read. The YT vids on heat pumps never talk about the longevity, reliability, or repairability.

I don't know if it's representative of all of Vermont pizza, but Stones Throw Pizza in Richmond is incredible. A bunch of their herbs and ingredients are grown in the garden right out in front of the restaurant, and many of their other ingredients are local. That sort of thing is what I would imagine would make something "Vermont Style".

Vermont College of Fine Art is closing (closed?) but they had a really nice event space there. Also check out the event space at Caledonia Spirits - if it's a small enough wedding, that could work.

Maybe Hubbard Park could work - there are several pavilions, walking trails, feilds...etc. https://www.montpelier-vt.org/238/Hubbard-Park
Bar Hill Distillery is an awesome location on the river and urban / chic setting with patio / private function space. Definitely check them out.

Maybe call Morse Farm and Sugarworks as well, they might have barn space / function space.
Zen Barn in Waterbury does small ceremonies too.

A little exaggerated. I have my stovepipe professionally cleaned every other year and burn DRY wood. Shovel ashes weekly. Stove runs in morning for a few hours and evenings + most of the night. Yeah stacking and hauling is a little PITA, but if you break both jobs up, it’s doable. Heck of an inexpensive way to heat a house.

It wasn’t a small subset, it took a majority to repeal.
You don’t have to believe my first hand experience, but that’s on you. I assure you it’s not “made up” and my name is on a voter roll and checked off for that election. The point is I have first hand knowledge and since you didn’t live in ME you don’t.
I have posted several reasons and I’ve offerred to have a dialogue on those points if you cared to actually read through the threads. It appears you’d prefer to engage in ad hominem attacks and rant away here rather then do so, so I’ll just bid you good day.

Don't do space heaters - it's way more expensive. If your woodstove is old, get a newer one - the technology has come a long way in the last few decades. I switched from an old 70's "iron box" stove to a more modern (but not exactly fancy) hearthstone and it's a world of difference. Easy to control the heat, not get overheated, and easy to keep it slow-burning all day.
Also consider heat pumps. I got them this year. Elec bill has gone up a TON, but the oil bill is down by more than enough to make up for it. We used to get a bill for ~200g of oil a month during the peak of winter, now it's like ~80g (we still use the boiler for hotwater and to supplement the heat pumps), but our elec bill is nearly $400.

no, I think whatever small subset of people that disliked ranked voting were mostly just uneducated about the system, like you are.
> I’m a person who has first hand knowledge, which I’m guessing is more than you have in this instance
you have some bullshit made up story backed by nothing

born, raised, still live in vermont. this is easily the stupidest thing people who live in vermont do: "nice argument but unfortunately you were born 50 miles east of here. ARGUMENT INVALID!"
you have not posted a single reason why ranked choice is bad except vague allusions to "bad mayor got elected using it. we all said it was bad so it's bad."

Ranked choice weeds out the extremists since, as first choices, they'll never get enough. But more moderate second ranked choices will.
